What I want to know is, what will happen when all this outsourcing brings the so called 3rd world countries to the same economic level as the 1st world countries? Who will the outsourcing go to then?
You shoulda stayed with the olde way of doing things. This new fangled VOIP cr*p is nothing but a load of POS foisted upon yee by sales and marketing droids to give them a reason to exist. And sell yee more cr*p.
The other week one of our code monkeys turned off the firewall on a W2K3S w/SP1 server that was outside the firewall. Why? I don't know. Within minutes it had been hacked. Had to Format C: and reinstall the OS from scratch.
Meanwhile, the FC4 box sitting right beside it, with no firewall installed on it since day one, keeps on chugging with no such problems.
How about not spending the money in the first place on a gaming console? Save you larges amounts of dosh and give you back many untold hours of your life.
Another button needs to be added, "Zap the buttwipe that booked the same brain-dead commerical 10 times this hour with high voltage". All of the advertising on the OLN Tour de France coverage as an example. Good thing I record it and fast forward through all the brain rot...
I don't consider putting the minimize, maximize and window close buttons so close together, small and hard to hit as being "VERY nice". One absolute UI stupidity they haven't fixed since, what, Windows 95?
Except most of what they come up with is total crap. I can't believe highly educated people are actually working there...then again, that just might be the problem (ivory tower vs. real world).
Where I work, it took a packet sniffer to show a bunch of ASP 'programmers' what they where doing wrong. I guess they couldn't debug their 'code' via response.write statements all over the place...
Keeps many a Real Developers employed cleaning that cr*p up.
Think about it...
Yeah, just look at the current resident of the White House...

Sometimes having Linux-on-the-Brain makes you dumb...
42 cents.
Where does the obligatory alien anal probe fit into all this?
Wot's a "teaflop"?
My response is more like [insert goatse here]...
I am who I am, who I am, I am.

Who wants another frickin' Intel box - even if it says Apple in some shiny, fhaggy logo on the front?
