    When I finished reading this book, I was pretty down for a few days. Even now, 20 years later, it brings on a touch of melancholy. I enjoy Wilson's work (Chronoliths was good), but this one fits the bill for the topic.

    Killz white primer paint works wonders on smoke impregnated walls. Not a shill... just used it on the walls in my house. Sometimes the house is worth it, even if there's smoker's residue. Like someone else said, clean it first, then Killz the rest. :)

    That's called PhonePro training, and everyone in the support call center I worked at for Sharp was required to take it. They believed that a smile on your face could be "heard" on the other end, and made the customer more likely to be friendly, even if they started off angry.

    Check the summary again. It says "equivalent", not one big 92x92 plot of technology. If the solar fields could be made smaller, but many more spread out over the region, you could get the same effect as if it were one large setup.

    I heard about this on NPR last week, and this same concern was brought up. No one is saying that they are going to make such a huge array (can you imagine the need for maintenance workers?). However, if there are enough arrays created, it can be the functional equivalent of the 92x92 field spoken about.

    Most newer cars have their headlights on all the time, regardless if it is day or night. If this is so for Spackler, then no, it's not extra energy.

    PCI Express is not PCI. The bandwidth is completely different. PCI is 133MB/s. PCI Express is 200MB/s per x1. PCI Express graphics cards can be x16. Check the ASUS P5AD4 Premium motherboard for a look at some of the new connectors. Thunder

    That's funny. I'm American, and to me, dual and duel are two totally different words.

    dual = consisting of two like parts
    duel = formal combat between two opponents

    Only similarities refer to the number two.

    I'm going to jump into this (hopefully I won't land wrong).

    According to one of the books (can't remember which one) the planet Kessel is near a bunch of black holes (yeah, I know...). When someone does the Kessel Run, it is measured in distance. The shortest runs are closer to the black holes, and therefore can turn around the spice they mine on Kessel (hmm...) and make a higher profit.

    I wish I could remember the book, but this was the general description given to explain Han's statement. Yeah, it's kinda pathetic I remember this. You don't need to remind me. ;)
