All taxes are regressive, you tax the incomes of the rich, they simply raise prices. You do realize where their incomes come from right?
Actually regressive is a poor choice of wording, sure its not pregressive, but its not like the poor get charged more. Infact the poor are generally more likly to spend a higher percent of their incomes on nontaxable items. AKA groceries, rent etc.
It doesn't seem that people mind sales tax all that much really. Infact everytime a sales tax increase is proposed where I live and given a good reason (going to our roads or schools for example) it always passes on the ballot. While other taxes are fought tooth and nail.
Not with www.taxfreedom.com, by intuit. Infact I can't figure out whats different between the two cept taxfreedom tries to talk you into paying for someone to professionally review.
Well they are apparently going to incorperate it into Office and other products. Obviously once this is done the exising product will no longer have any use. Given Microsofts history obviously any non MS products won't work.. Though I don't know what apps the current application supports now anyways, guess I should give it a try.
Yes, but given that this guy will be made CTO of Microsoft obviously they are interesting in his ideas and where he can take Microsoft. May mean good things for Microsoft as a whole.
People 99% of the time will go with what they know, rather than gamble on the family-run restaurant across the street, even though the family-run restaurant might represent a great hidden and unknown deal.
Amen brother, I recently came to this realization when a great coffee house opened in my office complex, but workers still went to starbucks and never even tried the place. The owner even told me that if someone came in and told them I sent them shed give them a free drink. I've told several of my coworkers, none of them have taken up the offer. Morons:)
Yes, but 1. Exploring the Oceans does not help us get off this rock. 2. You can throw a lot more trash and mine the hell outta it, and noone will say much of anything (well there always will be a few nuts). People get annoyed when you do the same to the seas.
Thats why I said "in states where concealed weapons are popular". Can't find the stats for texas, but apparently Arizona has about 1.3% carry rate. That may seem low I guess, but in a small store with say 5 customers and 2 employees thats a 9% chance, even higher given that said employees are likly to have a gun behind the counter. Anyways violent crime in Arizona has fallen 25.5 percent (on a percapita basis) sence 1995. This is slightly lower than the national average of 26.1 percent during the same time frame. But then again California dropped its violent crime rate 35.7 percent. So I could be completly wrong about all this:)
And yes I am completly contraditing my previous statement I know and going against the proper rules for arguing over the internet. BTW my stats came from http://www.disastercenter.com/crime/ which simply gave me the raw numbers I did the math. Corrections are definatly welcome.
Well yes it would push the price point for CDs down. But CDs are already crying for price deflation. Price CDs at $2-$5 and they will fly off the shelves.
Well they could have a required government provided crypto chip that gives you access to this network. It will cost you 10 dollars to put it in your computer or 1 dollar to put it into an MP3 player. Sound reasonable?
Similar to rar I've found that ACE (www.winace.com) in maximum compression compresses most things better than RAR and is similar in fuctionality (it supports rar as well) Its linux verion is called unace and there is a macunace as well. Sadly these programs are a bit harder to find on the website but they are there.
Luckly gentoo knows it so you can simply emerge unace.
Basically it comes down to the fact that the average person isn't comfortable seeing weapons displayed. Either way it has a side benifit that in states where concealed weapons are popular many criminals know that there is a large chance that someone in say that minimart, has a concealed weapon. Security through obscurity I guess.
The scientist were apparently "suprised" at how easily their machines were beat. I'm sure they tested these machines before bringing them to this contest. What this basically means is that the scientist involved are bigger whimps than this girl.
Either way, what this really boils down to, in my mind is, would a traditional publisher also be forced to reveal their sources in this instance. If the answer is Yes, there really is no point in discussing this.
Obviously you would have a hard time finding a traditional publisher stupid (brave) enough to publish this.
Of course, anything that you have to sign a non-disclosure agreement to see is trade-secret. Most marketing companies make their employees sign NDAs for everything they view, as timing to market is critical to many buisnesses. Essentially anyone publishing trade-secret information can be punished. The fact that the judge made a distintion between the online journalist and traditional journalist is the only real incorrect desision. As a traditional journalist (or atleast their employer) could be sued for releasing trade secrets unless there is a danger to the public.
I know I am being WAY off topic. But I think he was trying to be funny. As its Native American's whom we often call Indians that have the casinos. While its citizens of the country of India that are receiving outsourcing jobs. So the poster was pretending to equate the two.
Outside the US yes, but inside the US on statistics done on a State by State basis concealed gun permits actually reduce crime. While gun control laws have little effect, and sometimes make matters worse.
Its a simple fact that the country is full of guns and they arn't going away. Apparently even the British are starting to have problems themselves as the criminals are arming themselves.
Yummy, looking at that makes me want to make a much needed replacement for my existing server. Can anyone suggest a good AMD 64 rackmount case/MB combo that fits nicely with this, the ones I can find are designed with hotplug scsi in mind.
The Swiss have the highest guns per person ratio (infact every able body is required to have a gun and formal military training to use it, thus the entire country is the militia, women and older children and the elderly included) btw. And probably one of the most peaceful societies, cept those law breaking torrent thieves:)
Just wanted to note that this article is paid for by LimeWire. Obviously because there is no third party apps with limewire and no license whatsoever.

It was last year, this year I found no limitations. Though buisness forms are not available.

You do realize I'm basically saying this is impossible thus the parents argument is bunk.
