They do, nVidia and ATI both create game specific optimizations in their drivers for all major games. This is why it is not a cheat to optimize for benchmakrs as it is reflective of real world optimizations had it been a game that nNidia considered important enough to optimize for. Of course image quality can in no way be reduced for these optimizations then, yes, it is a cheat.
I have just a plain ol everyday ipchains NAT firewall, with no real special rules (and I can change them if I need to), but bittorrent just sits there and maybe occasinally I will get 1KB connection for a minute then it will go back to 0 again. I'm on a 512Kb DSL line. Any suggestions?
and real games (or a renamed 3dmark executable) will run slower
Not entirly true, as ATI and nVidia both work closly with big name game studios to make sure that optimizations such as the these are in the game. Obviously the benchmarks didn't use the optimizations they asked for so they took it into their own hands. Sneaky yes, but it is reflective of preformance in real games (atleast big name ones -snicker-)
I'm pretty sure the specs declare most of these features as optional features not absolutly nessesary for a browser. The specs in making these optional more had PDAs and such in mind, but there is no reason a desktop can't be as simple as a PDA.
All mail servers accept mail to their own users form anyone. How else are they supposed to work??? Currently there isn't some central repository of "These are safe addresses to receieve mail from" And if there was it would make sending mail much more difficult. The whole point of SMTP is to accept mail for its local users, and to bounce mail from its local users to another SMTP. Anyways the only way around this would be to trust some signing intity to verify each mail server, which is a solution some are poposing, but currently does not exist.
Just cause he prints money for the so called government of the United States, how does this make him white hat, he is still taking cloth and printing words on it to magically make then worth some imaginary value. Its not as if you can even turn your money in for gold anymore./end humorus rant.
Actually while its still a debate thier is plenty of evidence to show that rice and pasta don't spike the blood sugar level like white bread and potatoes and really are quite good for you.
If you read the rest of his comments he seemed more interested in renting a console and obviously also wanted suggestions on what consoles to rent. Now one may wish to suggest rentig a computer, which is possible. But I don't know any good computer games you can rent..:)
have no soul and would crawl back, but they just don't want my money that badly, I guess.
What are you talking about they already got all the money they ever expected out of you. Hello $565, if they actually provided you with a quality service it would have cost them something. Believe me they are much better off this way. (BTW thats a lot of money ever considered filling a fraud claim?:)
Well the Tivo can be hacked to use an alternate provider as the Tivo runs linux at its core. While the replay doesn't and is much harder to hack. So I would assume they are SOL, but I'd be willing to bet that the service part will be auctioned off, and someone will buy it, but possibly not.
You can add addresses to a list to make them not get challenged. You can also set up aliases addresses for different commerical contacts so yo can manage that contacts spam input.
Its definatly a game, some may call it a sport, but does it really matter.
So wouldn't the you must carry in what you carried out apply in this case? What is the need for new regulations?

you are right, thanks, I was being stupid. Though if I may inquire as to why you would choose such language?

Anything I can do about being behind a firewall and not really being able to upload?
I don't know, I personally don't find AOL CDs very erotic, but maybe you do.

Currently yes, but if you use it to defraud your insurance than its a criminal act anyway you look at it.

Try taking the battery out of your car. Opps you loose your presets (well most car stereos anyways)
3lbs * .4536 = 1.3608 KG not that much to brag about really but every little bit helps
