Not nearly as insightful as the first paragraph of the article.
The system promises fewer computer crashes and will allow users to delete data from their hard drive.
It finally allows me to delete my data? What? This is a new feature? what??? hu???
Maby they meant, "and will delete random data from users hard drive".
There are forms of MPEG-4 that offer NO downgrade in quality. You don't get as much compression as you would if you accepted minimal quality downgrade. But the amount of filesize you can save by simple pattern sampling combined with high bit rate audio compression is amazing.
Yea, but I meant the term DOA refering to the fact that the Xbox was DOA, was dead on arrival. It is of course also a game, in which I was not sure of the acrynms meaning, thank you for correcting me:)
(a fuck you and a thank you all rolled into one:)
Well in comparison to 1 and 2 which were so bad they barly even will publically admit to have ever made. 3.0 Was a fairly good product, and 3.1 was rock solid, for what it was.
I tried GRUB about 6 months ago (newest version at that time) And it messed up my sound in windows. That sound was always flaky to begin with (old onboard, ended up getting a second soundcard) but GRUB made it completly not work? Any thoughts people?
Well not exactly, but DSL prices are different for commercial vs residential. And you'd want to get a priority line for it if your sharing with alot. I know with the office I'm at we're paying $275 a month for commercial with priority for 385K I think we could get a full 2Mb for around 800
No you wern't notice the digustingly high number, its a fake. Notice it says "by CmdrTaco on on"
the on is printer twice, the guy hacked a space in his name and made it "CmdrTaco on"
old stupid trick
Yea its illigal to share a cable modem outside your premises, but DSL/T1 and the like are legal, if you start charging for it though, you have to get a special license to be an ISP.
Actually your cable modem license forbids you from using it to share with anyone outside of the premises of your house, though you can legally use it for as many computers in your house as you want to. DSL and other lines don't have this provision because the bandwidth isn't being among your neighborhood.
Maby it was her attitude that won her.
Example: I was just trying her out and one part of the conversation was.
Me-> Your Stupid.
Alice-> I may be stupid, but atleast I know the difference between "you're" and "your".
Me-> You're Stupid.
Alice-> I will remember you said that when the robots take over the world.
Ok, companies are CONSTANTLY filling patents anything and everything. Many are used as legal defense, many are used just as trophies. Few are actually used badly. If IBM starts asking for any licenses from anyone for this patent for any reason. THEN we should start screaming. I know you will say that they shouldn't be filling for such things in the first place. Then go yell at the Patent Office, because had IBM not filled for a patent on that idea, someone would have.
Having zero bugs has never been the point. The point is that having alot of bugs and missing features, is actually benificial to the seller, as they get to sell you the next version also. So there is an economic insentive to have bugs. the CIO's are simply trying to turn the table as it rightly should be, and make the companies responsible for their defects.
Actually cars last alot longer now than they did 10 years ago. In the early 90's and car made in the late 70's probably wasn't working. Now in the early 00's people still own several late 80's early 90's cars, that are easily getting over 150,000 miles. Now there are alot of people who are buying new cars every few years. But this is more of a matter of choice, and having too much money. Not the cars breaking down.
ASHINGTON -- President Bush strongly rebuffed a Taliban offer to turn over Osama bin Laden to a third country in exchange for an end to U.S. bombing. Bush's health chief pledged to strengthen the nation's response to bioterrorism following the recent anthrax cases.
"We know he's guilty. Turn him over," the president demanded Sunday as the U.S. military strikes in Afghanistan entered their second week.
In New York, Mayor Rudolph Giuliani said a police officer and two lab technicians were being treated with antibiotics for exposure to anthrax, boosting the total count to 12 in three states.
The rest of the article talked about anthrax and stated that the presidents demands are that they turn over all terrorist.
From what I hear, they believe that having ones head cut off in an execution causes you to not be able to enter heaven. So capture him, cut off his head and broadcast it to the world. That will be a moral blow. And seriously what else would you do to a figure head but cut it off:)
For some reason, I'm addicted to responding to flamage. Anyways I just wanted to point out that the US really doesn't want Bin Laden handed over. Because the war is against the Al-Qaeda network as a whole. If Bin Laden was removed, it would do absolutly nothing but remove a figure head. And would at the same time cause much support to be withdrawn, as much of the mindset of the people is against the one person. Untill that mindset can be changed, it would be a win for Al-Qaeda to hand over Bin Laden. So why would the US want to give the Al-Qaeda proof, and risk having such an event happen.

Ok that makes sense. I feel better now.
Actually he was just quoting from the press release. Thats what they said, but most likly you are more accurate, as always.

What? this is slashdot!
Dead on arrival, its also a game.
You know that it is currently late 2001? right??
Just checking.

It means that uncompiled programs can be recompiled to both systems, but, a precompiled program won't be able to run on both systems.

a month that is.
That sucks, mine allows you to have whatever you want inside your premises, and you can even buy extra real ip's for like 5 bucks a piece.

Yes, but they can't advertise it as pop3 if its not compatible with pop3 clients other than theirs.

Ok, because many of the parts are now made to last longer, you think that they will all break down at the same time? I'd think thats highly unlikely.
