Overall we do less physical work and the standard of living has drastically increased in the last 50 years. Believe it or not, this is the same situation, it may even hurt for a little while, but everyone will find something useful to do and get paid for it, and in the long run our lives will be easier because we can get more product for less work (ie cheaper). Yes eventually these foreign countries may leave the third world and possibly we may become their machines... Who knows, but such will only happen because of our lazyness and unwilliness to adapt and evolve.. Such if life.

It is...... Except if your a monopoly, monopolies have to follow different rules. Intel has yet to be declared a monopoly (or to have violated anti-trust in some way), but this would clearly be deemed illigal if it was, This specific act though does help to show a pattern of abuse, each of which may be legal, but can be combined to form an anti-trust case.. Its all very tricky, but intel knowing they were being investigated for anti-trust really should have known better jump in bed with skype on this issue.

If you read the description its not actually as wrong headed as it sounds, the whole "its not running" thing is really inacurate. Basically they have a "program" that does a database search, this "program" is actually physical hardware that is run by optics. They "ran" it by shooting a photon at it, but then blocking the photon before it entered the program thus it "not running". The trick is that properties of the photon continued into the program and it worked. This really isn't new news for anyone who has every dealt with the slit experiment or any number of experiments that show that photons can be in multiple places at once.

Yes, I know I'm responding to a troll, but I thought I'd make a small correction a classic republican believes in little change and careful well thought out change when nessesary, while a Democrat generally believes in making frequent changes based upon what they think is best at the time. Both of these objectives have their merrits when it comes to poverty, energy and the environment. For instance the end of the use of Nuclear Energy in this country was mainly due to the knee jerk reactions of Democrats in what they believed was helping the environment, while infact they helped ensure the continued use of coal plants which was a problem largely ignored. Same is the problem of certain anti-poverty plans in that they are not carfully planned and end up simply wasting food and resources, often given to warlords of various countries. Now of course this is no redemption to those who simply do not care about the environment whatsoever, such creatures exist on the left and right as well though.
