That reminds me back when I had my 13th birthday party my mom dropped me and some friends of at the theater to see a PG-13 movie, all my friends where 13 I was going to be 13 in one day. Ticket office would not sell me ticket.. True Story (luckly I ran after my moms car and caught her before she left)
BTW the movie was Problem Child 2 if anyone out there wants to do the math feel free:)
Actually I'm guessing they are two lenses far apart that are angled so they center on the same point on earth. Of course the angle will be so freaking small that they will probabably screw it up. Your method would work too assuming camera is taking a wide enough shot (its possible that camera is orbiting fast enough that looking in same direction second shot even milliseconds after first shot would lead to all objects from first shot being out of view.
Well if you use the $200 for a non DVR HD receiver you will be set as far as HD goes, its not like VOOM was offering HD Tivo Either. Once DTV's MPEG4 problem is settled then you can figure out where to go from there. Of course this is assuming your interested in DTV at all, at this point which seems douptful:)
They can't do it in software, it is slightly possible that it has upgradable firmware, probably not though as the increase in processig power that MPEG4 would require. What I really wonder if why havn't we heard an official statement from DTV on exactly what are their plans for dealing with this situation. Have they been completly mute?
The problem with this statement is that we *still* give the food and supplies. So really, it's our own damn fault the army is too stupid to airlift in supplies to the right places with unmanned aircraft. I've wondered the same thing, as to why we don't try sneeking it past the warlord. But its quite possible that we have and it simply doesn't work. One then might wonder why we keep giving food then, and I really don't know. I assume PR reasons and reasons of legislative requirements. I do know there are some humanitarian groups mostly religous based that are actually getting food to the people. Though if large federal donations where going through these groups one of two things would probably happen. People would yell about the Fed government helping religious groups The warlords would figure out where the food was comming from and shut off the supply. I can only assume that the stuff that does get through current chains is probably in small enough amounts it doesn't raise concern among local leaders.
I'm sorry, but tons of food is regularly being sent to third world countries. The problem is warlord and corrupt local government who steal these donations then keep them to feed their private armies, and only to the local populations that are supportive of them. Its what keeps them in power. Unfortunatly the UN is not willing to step in and while there is some willingness on the part of the US government we realize that we already have our fingers in too many pies. The conflict in Bosnia was in many parts concerning this very things, and we practically got our asses handed to us. There is no easy solution, but more donations is not it.
What I want to know is why do the computers controlling the train system in Japan need antivirus. Are they attached to the internet? Do they have disk drives? This system should have neither, I can understand the reason for a seperated system to be connected to the net for reporting train schedules and problems. But connecting a control system like that? Running it on windows? Silly. Thats worse than having antivirus on an ATM.
Replying to you and the other reply to my parent at the same time.
Microsoft abused a small monopoly in DOS through nasty contracts, etc. Apple created iTunes and iPod as innovative products. They may have won for more coolness, marketing strategy reasons than technical reasons. But they did win fairly.
The same argument was made for mozilla for ages, untill firefox came out and opened instantly. There is no reason why a program where 90% of its functions are rarly used has to load these functions at startup.
It depending upon what type of risk I guess. Microsoft has a LOT of money to burn, look at the XBOX for an example. So while its willing to burn through money and take risk, its not willing to take any risk that could lose it customers. Eventually this will come back to haunt Microsoft, but for now the strategy is working and they will keep with it till it doesn't.
Its made them tons of money so yes. Its more of a marketting innovation than anything, but it made mp3 players as common or more so than other portable music players (walkman etc) so yet.
Speaking of which, as OpenOffice adoption grows, when in the hell is Microsoft going to add support for those formats. I think it's already past time to do that since the last reports showed that OOo was used in about 10% of businesses.
Umm never... Microsoft included Wordperfect and other similar formats as an encouragement for people to try switching TO Word and not having to lose their documents. Few are looking to switch from OpenOffice to Word, and offering compatibility would switch more away than to. Microsoft is not stupid.
Amen, Jesus often took "sinners" under his wing and provided them with many things, a providing a "sinner" with a job if they are qualified, is definatly something Jesus would do. Now of course he would also try to show them the light in an honorable polite manor, something few Christians (I am a Christian btw) seem to know how to do. Most are interested in bashing people because they are "sinners" as opposed to forgiving them for their sins and helping them find God.
Possibly because Mircosoft feels that its finanically unfair that they give their gay employees benefits while other companies don't. So they want to raise the bar for everyone.

DirecTV is offering a $200 rebate for voom customers looking to move to DTV.

I also noticed that my 2800+ Athlon 64 was reporting in the survey as a 1.8 Ghz Athlon, which it technically is, but still misleading.

Yea, I pretty much assumed this, I was more suprised this wasn't mentioned in their FAQ. It gives the impression that this is Mac only.
Cute, but can you also connect it to a PC given the right formatting?
Guess I should have RTFA, states only some ticket office computers were affected, not the critical controlling ones. :(
By disk drives I meant floppy drives/cdroms etc not hard drives.

Its still bloated, they really need to take a module approach, make the default really slim and load features as requested and as used.
I believe there already is an implementation of java for running on 32-bit code on 16-bit hardware. So its not very different.

Bloat is another big factor, for me OpenOffice feels more bloated then Microsoft Office. The slimness of firefox is what really sold it.

HEHE, not really a fan no. But I don't have to be surprised, do enjoy the unexpected things in many indy movies. Though this may be far from that.
Thank you for another great negative review, thus assuring my expectations will be appropriatly low so I can enjoy the film.
Curse you for giving away the part about Malkovich, it would have been an entertaining surprise.
