I don't have to download anything to change languages in OS X. That's because OS X is OS X is OS X, no matter what language you speak. Switching to a Japanese interface is exactly the same as using the "Japanese version" of OS X.
Doing things this way, instead of as an ugly hack, prevents foreign language versions of software from sucking so much. The Japanese version of Office v.x for OS X is fucking atrocious. Typing in English yields incredibly wacky spacing that will arbitrarily bunch words together or spread them far apart, leading to incredibly ugly and illegible documents.
Bore some very deep holes somewhere in a subduction zone. Put the stuff at the bottom. Forget about it. Over geological time it'll get sucked into the mantle and disperse.

I refuse to believe that you, as a serious PC user, shelled out the cash for a Powerbook and:
1) Didn't think to hold down the power button for five seconds instead of removing the battery. You'll be very disappointed if you try to buy a new laptop without ACPI these days, because I don't believe anyone makes them. No hard power switches on any platform.
3) Aren't aware that the resale value of your Powerbook is still going to be very high compared to its PC competitors when you decide you want something new, and you'd get more value out of selling it on eBay then scavenging it for parts.
If you're being genuine, call Apple. If it's been less than a year, you're covered. If you have Applecare and it's been less than three years, you're still covered.
With all the random crashes, I'd bet you have a faulty power supply. You can't expect a company's products to be flawless 100% of the time, but you can expect it of their service.
Why have I been seeing so many people reporting favorably about e-voting that have nothing to gain from it? It's not as if Diebold sponsors news programs.
Webkit is 'integrated' into the OS (its included, I don't know if you could really call it integrated, as I don't think any of the OS windows render anything using HTML like Windows Explorer does), not Safari. Safari, as well as many other apps. were built using webkit.
The true ignorance in this statement is that the writer thinks that that the candidates are out on some vengeful, hateful quest against eachother, and sling all the mud that they do because of their hatred.
In reality, it's because the American public responds more to mud-slinging than it does to honest political discourse.

Even more reason to buy a mini!
Hooray for fifteen minute long albums!
I'm a silly Mac user and I equate PC with x86. I am also not liable for any money you may lose on an Apple investment.
Buy Apple stock now.
IBM is now fully committed to the PowerPC platform.
The FBI uses OS X, why won't the military consider it?
And no, it's not because of the don't ask don't tell policy.

Ack! Radioactive volcanoes!
If you need me, I'll be hacking the GIGson.
What the hell is wrong with Lite-On!?

It's quite possible that it may have been just the policies of my school's network, though I've never had a problem port scanning before.
I was able to do so from home. It took 692 seconds to determine that only 80 and 443 were open. Those NSA are paranoid.
I got curious while waiting for my 300 byte/second download to complete and decided to see what nmap had to say about nsa.gov.
Shortly after I began, I was unable to access any network resources. Shortly after I stopped, I was able to access things again.
Can anyone else provide a port scan of the nsa without being DOS'd?
WWU would have a checkbox in every slot but four. Students aren't required to own a computer here because we have so many goddamn computer labs.
Our Wifi network covers nearly every relevant area of the campus.
I can mount my network shares directly using AFP.
I love my school's network.
SecurityFocus's description is no better than CNet's, I thought they'd have more technical details. What system were the running? What exploit?
Oh, wait, I get it, they probably haven't patched the exploit yet.

We mustn't allow these harmful volcano emissions to continue!
Ummmm......... Sanctions against Mt. St. Helens!
Have you heard of Seattle before? It's really not that dry here....
I got a free, legal copy of PowerDVD XP with my DVD drive.
Then I had to pirate DVD X Ghost so that I could play discs from other regions.

Well, MS Word doesn't even support MS Works files, so...
Am I the only one that thoroughly laughed at the "Cool site for girls" link at the bottom of their MSN Groups page?!
Wheeeee.
sudo ping -f www.xcelent.biz (I never ping flooding required super user priveleges)
No love for OS X!
