You are kidding right? "Solving" this by abusing the hosts file is the most crude solution one could possibly come up with, and, btw, renders/. entirely inoperable (what a loss...).
Guess either you aren't the real apk, or you indeed have the poor technical understanding you seem infamous for.
for the record, slashdot sets a cookie. it's called betagroup. It appears to contain an integer value between 0 and 99. The poor souls where this number is sufficiently small (ATM <20) get redirected to beta. The others do not. In case the solution has not become obvious yet modify that cookie.
That's not even true, according to TFA Gates had 2 minutes of time per move, while the kid had 30 secs per move. Also, I don't like Gates, but he didn't play bad (except the obvious mistake at the end which led to surprise checkmate)
Bill Gates is meant [] to be intelligent[]? I can think of several things that his history would tend to show of himself(???) and intelligence is not one of them.
Welcome to the real world. Ever used an ATM? Or a wall socket, for that matter? A financial transaction? At some point, there's one of my enterprise-grade VBA programs involved (in some cases it might actually be military/aerospace-grade).
Or did you honestly think those ATMs and power plant control systems would autostart and background MS-office for no reason?
Well now you've made it too obvious.

HTML. Do you speak it?
I can only see one possible outcome of that. -- "Uh, where was my car again?" - (checks GPS) - "Oh, right, it's still right under my butt, duh."
...you know the rest.

which is essential because the background image is a howto-use-win8-cheat-sheet.
You must be fun at parties.
and now you've ruined it
it's a fucking miracle
If you still think /. readers would be any smarter than average joe, you shouldn't be reading /.
Damn, a modified kernel? No dice.
If only there was something to force them to make their changes public when redistributing...
Like I would read this far into the summary. What fucking kind of neckbeard are you taking me for?
ARM chips are currently outselling x86 ships
That doesn't surprise me at all. It might be interesting to have an ARM-powered x86 ship though.

Now you know.

You again forgot to close the parentheses
