    It's a free download but you have to pay for it? Doesn't sound too free to me. Reminds me of what we did to sell lemonade when I was a kid: "Free Lemonade, only 25 Cents!". :-)

    You can actually use it on CRT displays too, and it just looks like normal AA. Here's how it works. (XFree can do this too, set a resource to do it instead of normal AA)

    But cheaper. You don't have to throw out all your hardware to go from Win32 to Linux. You'r right though, Windows to Mac is much less dramatic for the lusers.

    MacOS won't run too well on the hardware that runs Windows. But Linux will (this from a Linux/PPC user ;)

    Look at mosfet's Liquid theme. It's really good looking and really fast! Even on my old machine :-)

    Grades don't really matter. Do you think that when you're 40 somebody's going to refuse you a programming job because you got a C in English? Do you think that when you die St. Peter's going to pull out your transcript and say "Hmm... looks like you failed English 284... and your SAT scores? 800 and 750? STRAIGHT TO HELL WITH YOU!!". No. Your grades don't affect your life. What you do with your life affects it. (BTW, I know someone who got straight A's, a 36 ACT, 1600 SAT and got refused from Harvard!)

    I have to admit, KDE is getting quite nice these days! Have you seen the Liquid theme? It's AWESOME! Translucent menus, neat buttons and stuff. I'm running it on my old iMac Rev. B and it's FAST! I was pleasently surprised anyway.

    It's an XITEL MD Port DG-2 and works great with Linux (/dev/dsp1). As for other bus/PS2 mouse, i have an early iMac, so that's out. I assume it's a software issue because it works fine on a friend's machine (but it's UHCI not OHCI, so I dunno)
