You would have to accelerate to the speed of the asteroid anyway so what is the benefit. You would have no way of changing course and would have no ultimate gain.
This is fine. People just seem to be too stupid to be trusted with any real discressionary rope. So it is hardwired. Pitty cause it was a good feature.
yu dumb head - quark did not take so long cause OSX aint ready for a professional page layout program yet. remember they dont have cooltype so they gotta wait till apple get their font shit together and their print drivers. Quark would be stupid to release yet - they should wait - they have a conservative market and need to be rock solid when released - no repeat of version 4 please.
Very good point - I just got back and while I was able to follow it, the Architect part had me reeling - especially the role of Zion in their plans. I think that revelations will be better, we may see multiple worlds fold away in the manner that the original matrix did. If so I just hope the brothers can introduce it as the mindblowing suprise the original was (for me at least).
All in all though considering the ridiculous expectations I had I was very pleasently suprised, and the action realy did kick but. It was funnier than the original too.
Transmeta has had a lot of problems so far breaking in to the US market thats partly because the US market has been dry since Transmeta shipped in numbers. They are positioning themselves well when/if the economy picks up.
One of the main reasons the dance culture did not take off in the states like it did in europe is that, until now, the states is a album based market. Dance music is single based. If this takes off, there will be widely available distribution channels for singles and radio might even respond. We might see the dance culture boon in the US yet. m
Shame you posted this as anonymous coward as it was well written. I am not American - rather Australian, but we have even more cultural diversity. Its great huh.....
Despite 9/11 and the events that caused it, America is still an amazing and fantastic experiment in what humans are capable of. More power too you... be proud but humble.
Err huh, are you on acid or is it silly pills? I also think the ethics of American soldiers are fairly good (although not immaculate), but as for Bush.... there is no Bush, never was. Please just a little study of foreign policy before speaking your mind.
"Violence is not the way to change things on an domestic level and violent offenders recieve no mercy in our legal system."
Sure they do, they just have to be rich enough to work the system. The draconian penalties only apply to those who cannot afford a lawyer who understands how to work the system. And violent protest is the only way to change things, if you understand history you will know that. The day will come when the.gov is on the chopping blocks again. I had hoped it was further away than it is, but with this new regiem... who knows. One thing is for sure, 500,000 elites cannot hold back the tide of half a billion.
On the subject of the post. Moral behaviour cannot be legislated, it must be enforced through social customs. When moral behaviour dies, society soon follows. But these days no-one walks.
This sux. Can I say it loud_enough. These people did not earn this, same as the cretin water rights speculators. How about someone heads over there and throws a few bricks through their stupid selfish window.
The legal system has become the new stock exchange. Bloody Hell. They should all be charged for treason.
War - what a joke. Slaughter more like it. It wasnt called a war with the original military action in the gulf (you remember - with dady) - it has taken us 12 years to be able to call what is about to happen a war and not break out laughing.
Glad i am not an Iraqi mummy. Cant believe you americans let these criminals wrestle power. I guess I cant talk - we all live in a democracy and I didnt even vote at the last election
Ralph Nader is hardly extreme. He is the best friend capitalism has. Most extremists (according to the point of view of capitalists) would like to tear capitalism down and replace it with a system that focuses on looking after humans and their environment. Now THAT is an extremist. I think, smitty one each, you should get out more. (intellectually speaking - I am sure you are hardly ever at your console *grin*)
I dont get it - the universities I attended or was employed by always had mirrors of all the really big stuff (Linuxd, SP's Solaris etc) so it could only be illegal transfers that bump the bill up.
Simple answer. BIg mirror of pirate stuff on Campus - solve everyones problems
What on earth are you running. You cannot mean the video edit software so I guess you must be referring to 3D rendering. So why not just buy a couple of machines and render farm it. Hell I wouldnt want my 3D renders running on my video edit machine anyway - esp with low hardware costs.
They had it ready the first day that they got a prototype chip. A MS mate told me that some dude from AMD is heavily involved in Microsoft. Booted up that day. Cool huh - but it is only the OS, who knows maybe they have a version of Exchange ready as well
Man I want one of those things. After years of waiting the perfect machine for me has come out. I dont want apple to go out of business because if they do I wont have time to save up for one. And I want them to fix the heat problem in software before I buy it.
So stop talking up bad stuff about apple until I have a chance go get one - then say what you want. (for about 3 years till i need another one [hopefully buy then I will be able to get something that good from a cheaper manufacturer])
Apple fanboys are annoying fools and apple has work_to_do but even a diehard pc user has to see that this guy does not know his stuff. $150 million to apple? Hello? How would apple give a rats ass with 4.3 billion in cash reserves? The economy will pick up and so will Apples niche. If palm is really giving apple grief they should just put on a couple of programmers to make_palm_software_work.:;
its only really informed techs that feel ripped off. Most people would just accept that the $15 is what they have to pay for a cd and save up for it. If the content is compelling the cd will sell. The record industry is going down, not becuase of KAZZa or cd costs, rather because they are not offering enough variety and talented artists. Just look at the top 15 - sure there are a few M&M's , Nick Caves and Moby's putting out quality stuff - but mostly it is just R&B crap and highly processed pop. The industry is strangling itself and is so big that it cannot afford to restructure to allow more talented artists to publish to a prepared market. The talent is out there, but the market has to be educated and prepared.

This is just Dumb.
"Oh Yeah" the engineer says, "I can record 35 miliseconds of studio quality sound to my PDA."
With a bit of silicon waterproofing my matchbox makes a great swimming pool.

As opposed to those who come across as morons and assholes???

I dont know jack shit about material engineering but could it be the cold in the days before takeoff? Cracks?
