I know someone who asks me to tape (well, dvdcap) movies off WUTV all the time because they don't watermark. (Being free-to-air they of course show edited movies.)
Of course, I'm mental enough not to need a life, and socially screwed up enough not to HAVE a life, so basically, I just sit back and read/. all day...beyond when I'm in IRC at least...
Well, we COULD go out on the 5th Remember, remember, the fifth of November etc. and try to blow up the Capitol, which I think is the American counterpart of the building Fawkes tried to blow up, but honestly what would it solve?
It's not a free market when you can't walk with your feet. Around here there is ONE electric company, ONE natural gas company, ONE phone company, ONE cable company. You don't have choice.
(BTW, Upstate New York. We get fucked up the ass hard because of those dinks down in the big city.)
Except that every license in existence, even the X11, BSD and GPL, basically says "we don't guarantee the program will even work for you, and if it doesn't, you're fucked up a tree"...
GPL is free, but BSD is freer. And while I do use GPL (v2, I'll prolly never use v3 specifically on anything), I prefer to use BSD, and more often than not, I release under the 3-clause BSD license.

By the way, I'm an American born and raised, so as they say, "You greatly err."

So what's new? Americans are clueless about everything.

1. IBM computers booted ROM BASIC, Tandys didn't. I did, however, have a Tandy 1000HX that would boot MS-DOS 2.11 with no disk in the drive.
2. Phoenix made the BIOS for Tandy computers. Go fig.

I think you can use a Wolf3D level editor to mod the full DOS version of Super 3D Noah's Ark...

I dunno about mod_rewrite, but Apache puts the extra in an environment variable, PATH_INFO.

Even 2K was a mindless install. I can't imagine Vistrash being easier than that.

Ironically, SCO was a spinoff of Novell, back when its name was still Caldera.

Important, yes, important enough that I insist on staying with 2, or using a more liberal license.

Wasn't that movie made in Mexico by Mexicans?
