    Video tapping the police is not the problem here, it's wanting to file a complaint. Here in Phoenix, AZ a local news crew went to all the city police departments explaining that they wanted to file a complaint against an officer on that policed force. The television newsman was run out, ignored and threatened. Only the Phoenix police had a system of citizen complaints and treated the newsman with respect. I believe it was an eye opening news story for both people making complaints and the police departments stung.

    I've been using nmap on Microsoft for 7 years and I can tell you without a doubt that they don't use what they sell. Also, I've bought only one Microsoft product, Windows 3.1, which spent a grand total of 20 minutes on my machine because it was garbage. I believe that I have your reacherch filled those requirements. A Microsoft Wifi set up, if they built on would be garbage

    ... grandfather this. Microsoft has every right to do it (again if you believe software patents are legitimate and therefore give right) but they shouldn't impose this on existing applications of the technology. Rather on whatever comes out of the gate from this day forth.

    In a sense one could almost call this "Squatter's Rights". If Microsoft didn't keep up with collecting "The Rent" when they where suppose to then they probably should loose the all there rights in enforcing the licensing agreement on FAT.

    This is true, I didn't use 2.4 till 2.4.8 or 9. Probably won't use 10.2 till 10.2.8 or 9. :)

    I kinda like it but with a twist, everyone pays to e-mail. however on the other
    end the receptiving party has the choice of bouncing the the message if it
    offends them. If an e-mail isn't bounced the sender's account is credited in
    full the fee payed. However if the e-mail is bounced then the sender looses there payment.
    This could also help in finacing the system and probably should be managed by a non-profit
    origination to keep it honest. It wouldn't be perfect and there are some issues
    such and time limits but could be workable.

    Really? Try loading GNUcash on KDE, it's a logistical nightmare. From what I've
    read in the GNUcash web page they aren't interested in porting to KDE and even
    hint legal action it someone tries to port their libraries.
