They aren't necessarily using some super-cool soda can with GPS & transmitters and such, it just says that they'll use GPS to find the winnner. Maybe the winner just get's a can that says 'you win!', calls it in, and the people dropping the h2 off use GPS to find the person's place.
Have data over broadband users come up with any new modes of transmission, anything usefull in that area at all? HAM radio is still more productive in that area, and it benifits you.
How many people still rely on ham radio? Why havent they moved over to something a little more modern? Does ham radio have any advantages over current technology?
YOU rely on ham radio, you think that the technology behind 802.11 wireless networks isn't based on techmology that hams came up with? The mode used in the data over powerline stuff is almost certainly based on their experimentation. So, lots of people rely on ham radio, even you.
I was engrossed in planetfall for many hours, really impressive for a text-only game. Kings quest, I had maps all drawn out with all the important stuff so I could find my way around. Dune 2 had insane graphics and videos for the time. Halflife made me jump right out of my chair when playing late at night.
the game's not based on a serial number, but number under the scratch-off part. there's no way of knowing that # unless you've already bought the ticket.
I remember a couple years ago, you but two tickets at $4 each, and it comes with the CD. after you enter then numbers, it goes through a certain sequence in the game to get to your prize. It always ends the same way with the same ticket. You redeem the ticket just like any other scratch off game.
I still have the CD here, because I wanted to crack it to see what kind of purty animation it shows if you are the grand prize winner, but I'm too lazy and haven't got to it.
If you want an ISO of the CD to crack, just say so, I'd be glad to send it to you, I'd love to see it cracked.
The combined 14.4ghz of processing power is cool and all, but what I want to know is how they managed to get optical mouse to work on that plexiglass shelf. Now that's amazing.

Oh yea, and starflight, anyone remember that one?
Definitely Planetfall, Kings quest 1, dune2, and halflife. In that order. What should be next?
I know I see 300k/sec downloads on emule, and I find just about anything I'm looking for on it.
Why is freenet better than edonkey?
Wow, it works great, I only got 24 junkmail emails in my AOL mail box today!!

Come on, whoever signed him up for all these mailing lists have just reduced themselves to his level. They should be proud.
>But with a web-enabled cell-phone, you can chat, drive, drink a soda, smoke, and read slashdot all at once.
In NY state, you can do all that, as long as you don't actually talk on it while driving. now that would be illegal..
Aren't these 321 Studios guys just the guys who stole the code from the freeware DVDx program and are now selling it in DVD Copy Plus?
Nothing revolutionary there, DVDx may have stood up against the DMCA, 321 Studios are just bootlegging the code. Why are we praising them?
