What would have really been good news for web developers would have been if Microsoft had gone a bit further with the standards support and not broken a number of methods developers used to trick IE6.
What would be even better is if these so-called "web developers" actually learned how to properly override things for IE instead of relying on silly hacks.
Conditional comments for one are much more reliable.
I don't know what browser you're using, but Firefox has an option to ignore any font settings on a website and use yours instead. Might I suggest using that?
Although by moving to a CSS design, restyling the entire site using User CSS is much more managable. I posted a comment earlier that includes two small CSS blocks that reverses the Read More and Comments positions on the new design.
Ah, but that's the great thing about a CSS design instead of tables. Drop the following in your user stylesheet, then restart your browser and check the design again:)
The average consumer has no concept of what security is or why they should care.
This is exactly the problem. Uninformed users just sit there with unpatched (or patched, as if it helps) versions of IE, and wander around online getting spyware, viruses, and turning themselves into spambots.
If they were using Firefox, this wouldn't happen so easily, as it removes all of IE's autorun holes.

Yes, that issue was also corrected in SP2.
Maybe you should let the images load before you put your foot in your mouth :)

It's not blocky, let the images load before you comment.
The rounded corners were not removed in the new design - did you not let the background images load?
I've gotten a free iPod, free Photo iPod, and I'm 3 refs away from a free Mac Mini :-)
But even with those, your options are severely limited compared to Windows.
:-)
The fact remains that if you really want to be able to game, and not just play a small subset of games, you can not use Linux.
At least not entirely. Hurray for dual-booting
If most of the spam comes from the US, that means that any anti-spam legislation passed here could have a huge effect.
;-)
Of course, now we have to wait for Congress to actually do something about it.
Well we're already polluting it with probes and extra craters ;)
You're confusing .NET with J++ and J#.
Apparently, we have the worst spelling as well :P (grammar)
Some of the probes went *SPLAT* instead of landing safely :)

After dancing with a very serious CWS infection on someone else's PC I was about ready to rip out IE from XP which is of course not easy to do.
You do realize how stupid that would be, right? We want to keep people using Windows Update, not remove their ability to do so.
Actually, he though Mauve had the most RAM :)

I don't know about where you are, but as I understand it here in the US, telemarketing to cell phones is illegal.
4) The PC must be connected to the internet at least once a month, and you must maintain an ISP dial-up account throughout the term of the agreement.
If they want the PC, they have to be.

IE breaks the standards of the future.
Fixed that for you.
Damn straight, who would actually want to use MusicMatch over iTunes?
Uh, what version are you using?
I've been able to click and drag inside the favorites menu itself for several versions now, with no need to go into Manage Bookmarks.
I thought it was all a joke at first too, then I went and loaded it into Hugs98, and I'll be damned if it didn't work :D
