Every decent airline has a mains plug on every long haul business class seat. Works fine for me, although I hardly ever work on the plane. Usually I eat, sleep and watch a movie.
It's not 100% bullshit and your link only covered Acrobat 6 for Windows.
It a real pain to disable the Acrobat 6/7 PDFMaker toolbar on Mac OS X completely (i.e. kill the self-healing functionality), I've heard that Acrobat 7 on Windows is also a major PITA (I switched to Mac a year ago so I can't tell from experience)
Adobe should get a clue and not annoy their customers. The toolbar is annoying, does take valuable screen space and cannot be enabled/disabled like any other toolbar.
Stop trying Linux on the desktop, get a Mac and use OS X. I use Linux quite often, but not for general desktops (it didn't work for me either). And I haven't used Windows about two weeks after I bought my Mac.
I intend to use mine as a replacement for my USB stick to transfer data between work and home. That it also doubles as a music player which plugs into iTunes is just great!
Have you ever taken a lok at iPod pricing outside USA. 550 EUR (~670 USD) in Germany or 400 GBP (~690 USD) in UK? That is expensive! And there are no discounts here either...
Unfortunately the book is riddled with type-setting errors which renders it unusable. This is what the editor says on the Amazon.com site: "Unfortunately, to my dismay and to that of the noble contributors, this book is, indeed, flawed with too many typographical errors. Unfortunately, I must accept responsibility for any shortcomings, even though a better production process would have prevented these errors."
Maybe it's just me, but why is the script index.pl broken (or is it just me?) for quite a few days. The link included should point to articles from June 5th, but shows me articles from June 6th and 7th.:-(
Most of it will not be very much out-of-date in two or three years. This book does not focus on version-specific stuff, for the parts that differ, there's always the man-page, Google or a helpful coworker.
For DSL in Germany, you can almost always use Deutsche Telekom. But do check before you move in, some rural areas (about 10% of population) and some areas in former eastern Germany (due to fibre instead of copper lines) have no DSL at all. The hardware side and the flatrate can be bought seperately (from different providers). Depending on your special needs some of those offers might be interesting. Check out websites dedicated to internet access from Heise (they also have one of the best computer magazines, c't), billiger surfen or just try your luck at Google.

Oh, and don't forget to learn german, it will help a lot in everyday life (though you'll manage to survive without).
the Popup Manager is not included in this release, I'll stick with Proxomitron, a very nice local proxy for blocking various kinds of http/html-garbage. Too bad it's Windows-only, is there anything similar powerful and easy to setup for Linux?
as far as I've heard Creative wasn't allowed to display their MP3-Players because CeBIT is a business-oriented fair, not a consumer-oriented fair. Creative will be at IFA, Berlin. Full article is at Heise Newsticker (in German language though).

Bah!
To disable the automatic repair follow these instructions; worked very well for me in Mac OS X with both Acrobat 6 and 7.

Try a Neal Stephenson book (Cryptonomicon, Snow Crash) next vacation.
AIX coverage is only in ESA, not in USAH. Other than that: take a look at both and decide which style of writing you like better ...

According to Twentsche Courant a suspected arsonist was arrested.
