    Umm, no gamers and corporations(in THAT order) are forcing backwards compatibility on us, I'm 100% positive that MS would love to rewrite windows so it doesn't have the sphageti goop in it thats only there to support some assend software that .01% of the population uses.

    Well, it takes what 6 months to get there and back right? Why can't they do somthing like in Red Mars(or green, or blue, one of them) And on the trip to earth have the spacship slowly ramp up it's rotational speed to equal that of earths?

    Umm, mebbe you should read the article, there talking about SLOT vs Top loading things, slots rock cause theres no external parts that can get ripped off. Just push it in or pull it out. Like car stereos. Besides theres a definite coolness factor.

    It took us about 4 weeks to get the router and everything, then we plugged it in, put in our name and password and nothing, so we call tech support, they say WTF, log on again, heh ok easy fix wrong password, here you go. Then we bullshitted for an hour or two about quake and unreal tournament. After that it went great till about a month ago when it would go down for about an hour every day for about 2 weeks. Ever since then it's been great and VERY reliable and EXTREMELY fast shoot I'm running my website off of it. http://matt.rapturesoft.yi.org btw. All of my friends went with cable using @home, and not one of them has ever managed to download at the speeds I'm getting(100-200k) and they can upload at only 10k, so it's definitly worth it if you plan on doing any type of filesharing or anything.

    Umm, in Germany during WW2 the Nazis had absolute legitimacy, because they controlled the goverment. Now the RIAA has at last count helped get a LARGE majority of congress and senate people elected. This means that those people are prbly going to help them out. This means that the RIAA is effectivly in control. This means that, yup you guessed it, the RIAA has legitimacy.

    I *know* 13% of the world doesn't even own a computer...I was trying to explain that mathematically it doesn't work. Look at china, how much electricity do they use...how many computers do they have? The US, I doubt computers account for even .013% of the worlds electronic usage, it's just not feasible when you consider that a vaccum takes more power than several computers.

    13%?!??!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!? WHERE DID YOU GET THAT?!?!?? I doubt 13% of the world owns computers I know that less than 10% of my electricity bill is from my computers(I have 7). Now how does that equal 13%?!? Besides, are you really going to trust the UN?

    I'm a bit naive but...if the source allows someone to make the same program, albeit with diffrent graphics(which are important in what? games) just how exaclty do you make money? It's like selling Prebuilt computers, AND giving away all the parts to make the computers. Seriously if someone can explain this to me I'd love to understand it.

    WTF I dunno my time is DAMN valuable, true when I finish programs I typically will give them away for free, but thats because I've learned from other programs. If I choose to charge for my time then my time becomes a limited resource. I Don't like people stealing my time and effort because there too damn lazy. Sorry this was a bit off the hip...and I'm pressing the send button...oh wait...shit to late
