I beam with pride hearing that NASA has confirmed what earth based, and moon based observations have been stating for decades. It has been my personal experience that when one actually gets their hands dirty, they start to understand. Maybe NASA could put a manned clean room on the moon? That would be cool. Also, man would learn more with a Pick-Hammer, Shovel, and Bucket than all the time wasted on fly-by's.
If I had a huge set of data for modeling analysis, how much disk space can this machine handle? Actually, if the requirements for the data is around 130 Petabytes, how would I hook it up to this 80cpu configuration?
From High School lectures on Nuclear Winter, our class was told that after the 27th nuclear detonation, anywhere on the planet, it wouldn't matter who won, or lost, for long, long, long time. Mainly because human civilization would be reduced to something slightly more advanced than Afghanistan.

I would hope that the Leaders of China don't grace Mr Wang's thoughts by throwing him under, in this case, a Tank. Maybe the lesson that the Chinese Government learned the hard way is being reciprocated in kind. China lost a whole generation of children when they, 1) Ignored Earthquake building codes, and 2) the warning of large dams make large earthquakes from an analysis at the University of Alaska. China's loss is the World's loss. Maybe I should think more seriously about the 1 Giga Watt of Solar Panels that China will be shipping to the U.S. in about 4 more months. Maybe it's time for this little round eye to start thinking "Re-Newable Energy".
Why can't our great minds that are exploring the Galaxy construct their Observatories on the Moon? Maybe on both Poles? The clarity of their images, I believe, would be fairly difficult to equal across any collections of arrays on Earth.
I would think that hacking into a cluster users that truly believe the Taliban are not Hard Enough is a group I personally would not want to mess with.
I think accepting money from a company that routinely loses in Federal Court, about issues of Cheating, and Stealing, is a statement unignorable. The "Card Catalog" would be a No-Brainer. No Library goes through these many hops. There's even translation to other languages, Brail, and Audio; from my viewpoint, this SHOULD be the challenge, not what word category is or isn't. If it's a case of "buy the book", then to buy 10 copies of "Gone with the Wind", and ONLY allow up to 10 readers to ONLY read "Gone with the Wind". Google could even have a "Google Online Library Card"; this is were the company hums "Ka-Ching".
Why can't ISS be used as a Ship Yard for space craft construction? Aerodynamics in space is gravity oriented, not friction oriented. A craft built in space, for space travel doesn't require an exterior skin for leaving the gravity well. Granted, the craft will look like a Tinker Toy project gone wrong, but If something comes up broken, then another can be brought up. The project logistics cost will be massively reduced because of the "Second Chance Option" of holding a craft in a Parking Orbit while a replacement part is brought up. I just hope AIG doesn't read/. or this Proof of Concept will never happen.

Just how lame is that? I haven't tried AS4/Flash-10, but AS3/Flash-9 can only accept JPEG, PNG, GIFF, SVG, and SWF; what's up with that? My work is in Commercial Art Utilities, and I hear and see the Graphic Artists chant their littenies of all things Adobe, but on a point-on-point basics, Adobe does NOT EXCEED task directed Use Cases when compared to GIMP, and Inkscape. Is there a Web Page that compares on a functional level what Adobe Products can do that GIMP, and Inkscape cannot? And I am not referring to the unrequested self confessions by show-offs trying to be my parent.
