    There is a lot of french bassed open sores out there. Anybody write a book on software design in france, you would be lible. Anyone demonstrating software data flow, you would be in trouble. Anybody who did this outside of France, and entered France would be in trouble.

    Maybe a key business deal from Redmond went further than expected?

    Personally, I don't give A damn about their backgrounds. But I do care a whole lot about my vote. If Diebold, et.al. can't provide a paper trail of manual votes, then there's something fish smelling at their software offices. Their actions are treasonable, to me.

    First and formost, Sony is not run by a bunch of bumbling village idiots; These corperate administrators hide behind the name Sony as their sheild. It would not surprize me to see a Very high up Sony technicrat "retire" early.

    Granted, Sony bought the software from a third party source, that still does not reduce their liability. Sony, if not caught, would have benefited from the actions of the software they purchased. Sony's solution is pathalogical at the very least.

    But lets consider the government in all of this. The U.S. Government thinks its OK to allow strangers to enter our homes, without asking for permission? I think this is a constitutional law question that should be resolved. I think the someone that allowed this to happen should be allowed to retire early, also.

    Lets see. Use a CD, go to jail. There will always be loud passionate voice out there to say, "Priates are Priates, Hang Them All." But IS there a violation of copy write? Is the original reason for copy write being ignored? Who are the ones profiting from this ultra conservitive definition of the law? Are the ones who benefit really the ones who made the copy writted material. Should copy writes be assignable? Is the impact of copy write becoming a negative to Joe Average Six-Pack? Are the real copy write victums the ones being sued?

    Most marketing firms would have stuffed a sock in this person's mouth at this point; Because without a working model, it's just noise that wakes up any competitors. But consider the Venture Capitalists here. V.C.'s make their money by selling the idea to investors, not advertising by talking to the likes of /.

    On a positive note. This V.C. Founder just might be the first to do it; Then I'll say, "I'm sorry."

    The problem with Microsoft is that the Federal Justice Department says their evil. The innovations that Microsoft has brought to the market place have come at the price of being convicted a thief, and a cheat; These are not trivial accusations. I guess maybe that's why I'll never be a Billionaire; For me, good products, and good customer service without compromising ethics is still important.

Things like web history, register entries, email addresses, cookie data, personal data like credit card numbers, that kind of stuff. Naaaaaa; No decent person would want to buy that kind of stuff.
