Really liked this article. I've experienced "flow" to a limited degree when playing music and playing video games, it's something I'd like to be able to attain more. The only time I really enter "flow" when playing music is when I'm improvising with other musicians and I get really 'in the zone' with what I'm playing.
Gheezus H Ktoolo, heaven forfend they just burn a blunt!
nintendo frankly doesn't give a flying fuck what you do with a 25+ year old NES dumbass.
Since doing something creative, if not actually constructive, takes your time away from playing and buying the latest Nintendo games, I'm sure they're actually against such anti-consumerist ventures.
great, I gnarfed up my snarky link, here, try this one : Google's Cayman Island tax dodge, because corporations are people, too. People with extra-special privileges.
Whats next youtube complying with Syrian government requests to remove videos of their citizens being killed by their own military? Whats the difference? Leave it to the governments to try and control information on behalf of their citizens don't do it for them.
Having a presence at all in backwards countries including the US is the root problem.
Yeah, Google should incorporate in the Cayman Islands. Or Liberia. Or maybe just move to cyberspace.
Did it ever occur to you that maybe D.A.R.E. is a subversive organization intended to show children the hypocrisy of the current status quo? Makes the Yes Men look like punters.
Or just drill parallel pipes, pump cold water down one, get hot water up the other. No danger of a catastrophic meltdown, because, like, that's already happened. Also has the beneficial side-effect of (allegedly) creating earthquakes, how cool is that?
psssstttt... hey Pentygone... I can tell you how to build really keen antimatter bombs. First though, you need to build a real launch infrastructure so you can build an armada of solar power satellites...
Actually, Atul Gawande has a whole book about how such simple things checklists vastly could help improve medical outcomes. And he reports the surgeons are mostly resistant to the idea.
I.in my experience, H1B's are not highly skilled. They're cheap and can be billed out at high rates. It's just a way for employers to further leverage themselves against employees. And we all know that employees have all the power in the relationship. Good for business, bad for Americans. Same shit, different party. This is my surprised face.
Apple, Google, Microsoft, IBM, HP, Toshiba, Samsung and Comcast should just create a consortium.
The purpose of this consortium would be to buy up the media companies and put a bullet in their head.
It's time we stopped the tail from wagging the dog here. It's just good business.

Mars is 60,000,000 miles away.
Phobos Grunt would have taken three years to get there.
If it didn't die of dysentery on the journey there.
"Cosmic rays?"
"That's a software problem...
They're lucky those chips they bought from China weren't made of lead, or contain deadly melamine!!!

wow, that's not carbon-neutral...
It'd almost be worth it if it could be programmed to interpret the one-finger salute as the three-finger salute.
I'm going to look around right now for people to screw and things to steal.
This poster truly groks the zeitgeist of the era.

Well, it sure wasn't me .
I just get to pay for it.
And for bonuses for the incompetents that created the mess.

I heard you like malware, so we put a virus in your worm so you can be p0wn3d while you get p0wn3d!
We also replaced you coffee with Folger's meth crystals(tm), and got chocolate in your peanut butter. It's two, two mints in one!

I can't wait for a fresh series of 18 more debates...
ok, I admit it, Comcast was a flat-out brain-fart. I was thinking of them as a ISP, and forgot they bought NBC. (wait, maybe they'll kill it...)
The original idea was hardware vendors versus the media companies, but then Google and Microsoft snuck in and muddied the waters.
I've tried the phone app on the iPhone. It's a hacked on kludge and a afterthought. Not ready for prime time.
