    People complained loudly to Microsoft regarding the all-caps of Visual Studio 2012/13 and Office 2013 during their pre-releases. What happened? They remained there, shouting back at the user in the finals.

    I have mixed case menus in Visual Studio 2012. Download VSCommands for Visual Studio 2012 or 2013 from the MSDN Visual Studio Gallery to fix the all caps problem. Somebody at MS was listening about this problem (or their own developers got sick of all caps).

    I saw most of Congress as uncivil, incompetent at fulfilling their basic constitutional responsibilities (such as timely appropriations), micromanagerial, parochial, hypocritical, egotistical, thin-skinned, and prone to put self (and re-election) before country.

    I'm guessing this won't be on the reading list of the Congressional book of the month club (though it probably should be).

    It's an obvious guess that these are for NIC cards to be used in some type of vending and/or dispensing machine. What I'm wondering is why is Coca-Cola designing their own cards? Do they really have a use for these that commodity cards can't accommodate?

    Clearly referring to Christianity, not Judaism. Still makes no sense. A "family tree" analogy might have worked better, as he tries to attribute characteristics of religions to UNIX variants/descendents, which make the analogy tortuous, labored, and inaccurate. A comparison along the lines of "look at this redneck UNIX family tree, here's uncle-cousin OS-X..." could be much more accurate and comprehensible (and probably entertaining).

    If you have cell phone service, a WiFi hotspot using 3g (either discrete or using a cell phone) should give you comparable speeds to DSL, and might cost less. Maybe someone who has done this can comment? I've thought about switching as we have 4g available, but haven't looked into the details yet.
