If you doubt that then look at humanity's history of creating ever more powerful weapons.
It doesn't have to be a Terminator to destroy us. How long can society last without a constant supply of food, fresh water, supplies, electricity? Our existence relies more and more on computers. To not be worried at all about AI shows a naive, dismissive attitude.

Looking at the world is like looking through a crystal: it changes depending on what angle you view it from. View it from the wrong angle and it seems hopelessly pointless. Frankly it's easier to cope by plugging one's ears and go "la-la-la" to most of it and just try and get by with a few laughs and close friends/family.

Maybe people should not pay a game developer any more than the $40-60 they paid when they thought they "bought" the game in the first place.

As long as the game I paid for has a lot of content included, I don't mind paying more later for additional maps. But the gambling/loot box thing is annoying. I know people who spend hundreds of dollars just to try and level their hockey or soccer team, one of whom is thinking of just walking away from the franchise as every year there's a new update which basically obsoletes all the effort and money they poured in. Will be interesting to see what happens.

"CheXNet: Radiologist-Level Pneumonia Detection on Chest X-Rays with Deep Learning

We develop an algorithm that can detect pneumonia from chest X-rays at a level exceeding practicing radiologists. Our algorithm, CheXNet, is a 121-layer convolutional neural network trained on ChestX-ray14, currently the largest publicly available chest X-ray dataset, containing over 100,000 frontal-view X-ray images with 14 diseases. Four practicing academic radiologists annotate a test set, on which we compare the performance of CheXNet to that of radiologists. We find that CheXNet exceeds average radiologist performance on pneumonia detection on both sensitivity and specificity. We extend CheXNet to detect all 14 diseases in ChestX-ray14 and achieve state of the art results on all 14 diseases. "

I know I wouldn't be happy remapping Esc to something else - I might as well switch to Dvorak mode while I'm at it. And wow, no function keys on the 2016 MBP! Very presumptive on Apple's part - who knows what workflows people have mapped to their function keys. This lack of consideration is part of why I won't buy a new Macbook Pro. Somebody has really lost the plot at Apple.
