"Also, note that the record label gets a percentage of the artist's earnings. This is a complete reversal of the record model, where the label gets it all, and the artist gets a precentage."
Just so you know... 99% is still considered a percentage.
Not that it doesn't make sense to fix the problems that were revealed by September 11th's attacks, but does anyone honestly think that passenger jets will be used as weapons again? It seems like terrorists will move onto other targets using other weapons. Though using the same M.O. would be a slap in the face to the US, I don't think the scenario we witnessed on 9/11 will be repeated. It wouldn't "raise the bar"... so to speak... and sadly, I'm afraid that the result of that horrific day has probably left many numb to a less-sensational attack.
One's a book... one's a movie. In other news... Nike sneakers toppled Master pad locks, and the New York Yankees outplayed a box of Kleenex. Apples to apples folks...
Can I point the SliMP3 player to multiple source PCs? I've got MP3s spread across a bunch of roommate's PCs but I'd like it all to play through the once SliM device.
I'm curious how this device maintains context of where it is on the page. This device reminds me most of the new Logitech iO which records what you write. It requires that you use specially dotted paper so that it can track where on the page you are. I'd be amazed if this little printer is able to keep track of paper context without some special surface like that.
Then again, they have that Flash movie online which demonstrates absolutely nothing... so I guess I'll trust them.
" A lot must have changed at the ESRB in the last seven months since both these men wanted congressional hearings on video game ratings."
Nothing must have changed. Ya see, by Lieberman declaring that he's pleased with how things are, he can add this to his list of successful battles. Now it'll be a campaign-trail talking point. It seems that the poster of this story fell right into his trap... and I'm sure many Americans will too.
With tracks being sold one-by-one the can no longer do that hidden track gimmick that got old in '83. Personally, I'm just curious what the the track-by-track pricing scheme would be for an album like "NIN-Broken" where they've got about 90 tracks of silence. Do those go for 99cents too?
I'm convinced the CEO of SCO is dead, and his incompetent son has taken over resulting in the fiasco we've been witnessing. It's just like a sequel to Tommy Boy.
Any chance we can send these guys after SCO? After all... I checked out their website and they've got boatloads of hyperlinks. The lawsuit is about as reasonable....
"I revoke gravity and all of you are now floating on the ceiling! *poof*"
I always used to love FPS's when you'd join a server and gravity would be all screwy. By the way, my check is on the way to SCO for using the letters "S", "C" and "O" multiple times in this post. I suppose I'm on your list right after you're done with Big Blue.
"This termination not only applies to new business by IBM, but also existing copies of AIX that are installed at all customer sites. All of it has to be destroyed."
Please get back to me on this one... I may have the day off tomorrow!
Now I've got a use for all of that ink PrintPal sends me mail about each day. If there's one company I'd like to see burn, it's them.

It's just their version of TiVo ... Constanty trying out that great rewind feature...

One word ... eBay.
She's still with them through the end of the year.

He earned no less than $10 during the four short minutes we shared a train.
