    The most useful shape would be rectangular because that's the shape of the screen - if only for software reasons
    The most practical shape to put it in your pocket would be round/oval, because a rectangle will hurt your tighs and tear pockets.

    A compromise between the two is simply obvious.

    this is bs. A computer programme is not programmed to run efficient, it's programmed to reach set goals efficiently. If the goal is set to cure a patient with abitrarily high quality of living after and during treatment as a subgoal, the computer will try to reach that, as efficiently as possible.

    Poor people should avoid expenses like an xbox
    No one should ever borrow money for unnecessary expenses. And then only for those necessary expenses that will make living easier on the long run.
    A toy is no such expense. Neither is a car by the way. My first car was a $1000 Suzuki Swift off which I could pull off another 40k miles.
    If you're poor, you should buy books, which will make you intellectually as rich as king for a very low money.
    If you really really need to play videogames, there are lots of vintage systems you can have for a fraction of these $100, the entertainment value of which was the max in their time. You can avoid the pop culture tie-ins, they wouldn't make sense now and they suck as much as current days' pop culture tie-ins do, however, classics like bomberman, sonic, mario and others are still playable.

    You should not use SMS to transfer data. It was never the purpose of SMS. The product sold with SMS is ubiquity. It's the guaranteed lowest common denominator . I can bet you in 5 years my mom will not have a data service on her mobile. But she'll have SMS. That's what I pay for, otherwise I would have just mailed her. This is also the reason why nobody switched in great numbers to Skype for voice calls even when ITZ FRE3 ONE1!!!. It's hardly ubiquitous. Additionally in many territories, data based services
