    Keep in mind that 95% of the hype was generated before anyone got to play the game.

    Also keep in mind that the game the Wil Wright wanted to make was fairly different from the one that EA forced him to release.

    They weren't violated, but loopholes were found.

    For example, a robot that followed the first law "A robot shall never harm a human nor, from inaction, allow a human to come to harm" to the letter. But what if the robot had been programmed with an improper or incomplete definition of what a human was? What if it was programmed to only recognize people of a certain skin color, or followers of a particular ideology, as 'human'?

    If we're going to perform cloning just for organ harvesting, we can easily just not allow the brain to develop. Hell, just make it a torso with no head or limbs. Just a nutrient intake tube and waste output tube.

    Soo... you're saying that staying with the same basic interface layout that people have become accustomed to over the past 25 years is a bad thing?

    I absolutely hate the new toolbar in MS Office. I can't find where anything is that I need.

    Besides, I'm not talking about the GUI. I'm talking about what it's like under the hood.
