Lumping in homosexuals with murderers and rapists is obscenely lazy. It is just an excuse so you don't have to come up with anything intelligent to say about the subject. Explain why you discriminate againsts gays. And BTW, saying "because (god|the bible) says to" isn't good enough. Give an ACTUAL reason.

when someone decides to make a movie "based off of the book," you should sit back and realize that it's not going to be the same thing.

It's not going to be exactly the same, no. But it should at least somewhat resemble the book. The only thing that the movie 'I, Robot' had in common with the book was the title and the names of the characters. NOTHING ELSE. They took a random sci-fi script and grafted the names onto it.

Ads for Sprite and Motley Crue albums in a game set 30,000 years in the future do not highten the realism. The Alienware ads, however, weren't that bad. They fit right into the style of the game.

I mean a future where people can't even do 2*3 without a calculator.

Although now that I think about it, chances are that we will eventually have computers implanted in our brains that do all kinds of things, one of which will be to instantly give us the answer to any math problem that enters our heads.

One problem that arises from that is that learning math is the beginning of learning how to think logically.

I recall a story I once read by Issac Azimov about a future culture where all knowledge of mathematics has been lost to humans, who have to rely on computers and calulators to do even the simplest math problems (older computers make the new computers and humans are left completly out of the process).

A janitor at a science lab rediscovers the 'ancient knowledge' on his own. The military quickly gets ahold of it and immediatly puts it to use in weapons research, whereapon the janitor promptly takes his own life in shame.

Anyone think there might be a future where humans rely on computers so much that they don't bother learning math at all any more?
