Pi Day should *NOT* be celeberated at 1:59 PM but at 1:59 AM...if you're going to be all technical about the time then 1:59 PM is the 13th (almost 14th) hour of the day. No, I have never been in the military, it just doesn't make sense at PM is all.
There have been interesting claims at subliminal messages in popular music. KAKE-TV in Wichita, Kansas, used a subliminal message to attempt catch the BTK killer, but it had no perceptible effect.
...Or he just doesn't/didn't listen to the radio/television, or if he did maybe he tuned in to a different channel. Subliminal messages is the only way I can account for some of the most ridiculous decisions the general public makes about its entertainment, consumption, politics and lifestyle. For fear of being labeled a troll I won't point any of them out, but how often do any of you say to yourself, "What in the world is everybody else thinking!?"
"their dead grandmothers dug up and taken hostage"
What the hell do the intend to accomplish by taking corpses hostage? Seems pointless to me. "Do what we say or we'll ki...er, um...bring her back to life!! That's it, we'll make her a zombie."
I completely agree...I am also working full time while attending graduate school. I won't lie, its hard but its something that can be done. I'm half way through my degree program while maintaing a 3.6 average, so I'm not barely scraping by either. I have done like StarvingSE and just cut out some of the "perks" in life. Its not fun but life in the log run will be much more fun with much more perks. I think alot of the ability to work full time and go to graduate school full time depends on the difficulty of your work and the program as well as how badly you want that degree.
I see you obviously own ExxonMobil stock. Please now, nowhere in the article does it state there was identity theft. In fact, if you read the article *gasp* it says the follow, "Using a laptop and a simple RFID broadcasting device, they tricked the system into letting them fill up for free." As for "Noob", please, maybe 15 years ago. *MAYBE* ten years ago that title might have offended me. Come on man, you're in your 30's now, no need to speak like a 14 year-old "k-rad leet haxor".
I actually think Google News hasn't gone far enough in some cases. On of the sites linked (on their front page no less) they likened elected members of the Democratic leadership to the terrorists who attacked on 9/11. I have no problem with free speech and the opinions of the site, but give me a break, thats not even news and it was on the front page. Google could fix this all by having an "Opinion" section.
Been there done that...it wasn't that good. John Titor got drunk and they had to call the campus police. He began yelling about having had sexual relations with the police officers grandmothers and granddaughters. They tazered him and after that the party kind of broke up. Now the 2033 Convention, now *THAT* was a party.
I agree and I'm sure Google will only help their demise by adding a "Google Meetup" feature to be followed about 2 months later by Yahoo. Seems to be the trend as of late.
That is what pisses me off about the whole situation, the law enforcement taking him away in handcuffs. Any call to his bank would have cleared up that he withdraws 2 dollar bills very regularly. I read in an article that the department or FBI blamed this on 9/11. Something along the lines of "we can't be too safe in a post-9/11 world". So the real question now is which terrorist among you is going to organize a "Pay Best Buy In 2 Dollar Bills Day"?
Here is how it's offensive..."anaerobic bacteria which exist in hot, sulfurous ocean floor vents resemble the earliest life,"...those bacteria must be sexual deviants to be getting THAT hot.
Riiiggghhhttt...your post did nothing but try to impress upon the masses of/. how cool you think you are because you know some super secret file sharing clique. It offered no help, it pointed to no information for others to research. It was the "cyberworld", for lack of a better word, equivalent to name dropping.
Amen to that. Got to laugh when people bash CBS news for doing one report in the vein of Fox News. Where's the outrage from the right about Armstrong Williams?
Well from what I understand the paper trial is two-fold. One receipt for the voter and one to verify should a recount be requested. If the paper trail doesn't match the electronic vote then something is obviously very wrong. Spot checks of the paper trial at various intervals by impartial observers could confirm the process is legitimate.
Well after actually READING the article (I know, *GASP*) I guess it wasn't a joke. It would have made a good one though. 10-100 years is pretty fucking vague.

Probably used his roommate's financial aid for rent and ate his roommate. Cannibalism is RAMPANT in unversity dorms!

Remind me again how getting nearly $4/gallon gas for free from ExxonMobil and it's $8.4 billion quarterly profit is scary.

Is anyone having problems with Google's Adwords? I get a connection refused whenever I try to get to it.

Man, you're like so freakin awesome!!
I know that's what you're waitng to hear so, there it is.

Sorry, one time offer, hehe.
"I'll give you 10 gallons of 91 octance and 5 bucks for shipping :-D"
Alas, if you said 11 gallons the deal would have been closed, LOL.
"(I just paid 2.01 for 85 octane)!!"
Where!? I'd sell my first born child for that cheap of gas...It's like 2.50 out here in the LA area.
Yeah and while you're at take this sharp pointy stick and shove in your eye.

I think it was a joke man. Convert 10-100 years from binary to base 10.
If WW2OL didn't bore you maybe I can interest you in watching the paint dry on my house. It's about as much fun as WW2OL.
There's your problem...a Rubik's cube isn't to be used to tie your shoes. Pshhh some people.
