The first thing that phone should have seen before being deployed to a kid is Apple Configurator so that it was supervised and the unlock token was captured. This is a solved issue, and the dad's ignorance is no excuse to violate the world's privacy needs.
I came here to suggest the same. Kickstarter to fund the creation of a new legal entity, with the pledges becoming shares in that new entity. I'm in with some pledge money, I just don't have the time to do it.
It'd be fantastic if CmdrTaco came back to lead the new entity.
You certainly can, if you have the money. An M16 can be legally acquired in most states, it'll just cost you 10x or more than an AR15, and a lot more paperwork.
You can't change the keys, so if you want to use SSHFS to backup systems that aren't agent supported, you've potentially given root access to anyone who's extracted the private key from the appliance (and leaked it to the internet). I wouldn't be surprised if the agents used the same craptastic cryptographic fail.
This. I own a Volt and an Equinox. I'd be at the dealer at the first possible moment that I could order a Voltec powered Equinox.
I've been seeing more glimpses of upcoming Volt marketing. I'm hoping the marketing team will push it exclusively as the Gen 2 release gets closer.
If I were GM's CEO, I'd make Voltec standard for all of their vehicles, cutting the pure ICE garbage right out of the market. Electric only as an option for every vehicle. The marketing team would have to do their jobs to pull it off, but when the people learn they can get near-Vette performance out of a Sonic...
I didn't imply that I dislike the Leaf styling just because it's an EV. I also dislike the Versa, because the one that I've driven (coupe, not the hatchback) was a horrible experience and looked about as awesome (/sarcasm) as my 2001 Mitsu. Mirage.
Other than the rear deck height being higher than the front, I don't notice many drastic styling differences from a Cruze, Malibu or Impala. The height difference is the consequence of the Volt technically being a hatchback, so it doesn't really bother me. If you were talking about the styling of a Leaf or iMiEV, I'd be inclined to agree, which is one of the reasons why I don't own either of them.
Have you driven a Volt? I own one, I'd like to buy a second. Best car I've ever driven, with the exception of a Countach I had the pleasure of a couple miles in.
Agreed, every time I look at any various looking glass to see why something is broken on the internet, it's Cogent dropping the ball... Remember this?
Every time I have to troubleshoot a broken internet problem, and it goes up to Tier 1 land, check the looking glass... It's Cogent being stupid. As soon as this story hit... check. Sure enough, Cogent-Level3 has ~3% packet loss the last 24 hours, with stupidly high latency. Screenshot .
Close. "Whiz Wit" or "Whiz Witout"... with or without fried onions. Personally, I go with prov wit almost exclusively unless visitors are in town and we head to Pat's or Geno's. And now I know exactly what I'm getting for lunch.
Obama had not been re-elected yet when the CO incident happened. There was no way that he'd have been re-elected if his current shenanigans, with Biden as the fall guy, happened before election day. The CT incident was the spark that allowed Obama's initiatives, that would have spelled disaster for his re-election, to be brought to the public with a giant media push.
Think of the children!
(Sarcastic tin-foil hat conspiracy theory) Someone crafted the incident to force the liberal agenda that they've had to wait for since the sunset of the retarded Clinton Gun Ban (end crazy but plausible in the current political theater theory).
Agreed. In 4 years, I had 1 class with a TA (4002-210, Programming with Classes). The professor taught the lectures and coached the projects, but the TA covered the labs.
Now that class isn't even required; it doesn't look like current MIS students are required to have any real IT background. One more degree that's been watered down since the COB name change.
I have a stock Mac Pro (GeForce 7300) with a 30" ACD and a 17" Analog LCD on the second channel. It definitely works out of the box with the included DVI-VGA adapter.
Looks like it does not: I didn't find any references with the 6x86L-PR200+GP part number. I do know it'll clock from 150 to 166 without issue (big deal back in the day, not so much today, or yesterday.)
I could hook you up with a PackBell P100 wih 56 MiB RAM (feel free to pull some out). It's retardedly heavy, shipping will cost you...
To make it even more fun, I can put a cyrix pr150 in it for you. I had Win98 running on it in the past, but WinME would make your nightmare complete for sure!
I wish OpenSRS would allow unlocking. I have 2 domains registered back in the day at TPP Internet in Australia. At the time, they cost $5US each to reg, now they want close to $80US to renew. TPP's control panel doesn't have the ability to unlock, either. So I'll be forced to wade through their customer support hell to get them unlocked so I can transfer to Godaddy with the rest of my domains.
ntp doesn't help here. ntp only fixes time skew from utc. Your OS is responsible for determining local time and presentation to the user according to their prefs.
I was annoyed with that too, until I found the solution: cmd-tab to the app, then cmd-tilde within windows of that app. I actually like it better this way, I can cycle through all of my terminal sessions much faster than having to also move within all of the other windows of the other apps I have running.
This time it was some Amazon crapware for me... Uncheck that box PDQ.

Control-Shift-Eject ? Slightly more annoying than Windows-L.
For your door breaching pleasure... The KAC Masterkey

In what world do you live that Level3 is a "much smaller ISP"? Level3 is a global tier 1 ISP, FFS.

Anyone up for making a Co-exist bumper sticker with the BSD, OS X, Windows and Linux logos? My art skills suck, but I can host the image for everyone!

If you haven't figured out a method to safely return an egg from a rocket trip, I've got a 4th grade science project to sell you.
