    I'm comparing an AT and an ATX power supply to each other right now, and they're the exact same dimensions, so you should be able to just buy new ATX power supplies, unless the case you're using doesn't use standard sized power supplies. Other than cutting out the holes for the keyboard, mouse etc., you should be all set. Remember, Dremel is your friend.

    Just for reference:

    The constitution gives us rights so the government can not strip us of them, although constituents are losing their grip on the ability to keep the government from circumventing the right to our rights.

    As far as my second amendment rights to bear arms are concerned, yes, I have that right. That right is slowly being stripped. But it's also backed by the right to property. The reason you we're able to post your comment is because of your right to private property. As far as the constitution is concerned, the government can not take away my property, and since MY guns are MY property, they will not get them, no matter how hard they try. If the US existed by your logic, you wouldn't have posted your opinion because there would be nothing for you to post it with.

    Just a note, I am a NRA Life Member, and damn proud of it.

    heh, thats about as bad as Rochester Institute of Technology's "You're our #1 PrioRITy!" slogan. I'm glad they seem to have discontinued its usage.

    Now that I know that it's some K6's that are problems, I can put the K6-233 on a Va-503+ I have back into use, just running windows *gasp*. I'll give it to someone who doesn't have a computer, who wouldn't understand anything but Windows anyway.

    After the 233 continued to sig 11 during kernel builds (Freebsd 4.2-release), I put it on a new soyo 5ehm, and it did the same thing. I replaced the 233 with a k6-2 350 on the soyo, and it works fine.

    What is the advantage of changing the unique identifier from the current nickname to a user ID like ICQ? Is it that hard for people to find unique nicknames? I've had mine on Dal (please, please fix their bandwidth/routing issues, they can't keep servers up for shit) for years. And I really don't like the Vchans idea. #dead is mine; no one else can have it, dammit.

    Forgive me if I sound irrational, it is 5:30am EDT...

    So, after my earlier rant, I get my snail mail today, and find a renewal notice from Network Solutions for a domain I purchased with a different registrar. Ok, this may be acceptable, but thats not the point. Through the address window on the envelope, 1 line above my address is the line "Log on with you PIN: -pinnumber-"

    Isn't this a little bit insecure? I mean, I doubt any jackass in the mail room at the post office cares about my domain renewal, but come on. I don't use the registrar because they suck, and this proves even more that the company sucks hardcore. Network Solutions can rot in hell for all I care.

    Network Solutions has got to be the worst registrar ever. Their administration tools just plain suck. I prefer Registrars Asia, their administration site is very well thought out. I like being able to change parameters for all the domains I control with one click instead of letting some idiot reading email change it for me. Maybe they have scripts that read email now, who the hell knows. FUN!

    If the BSD TCP/IP stack is implemented in OS X, well, we know it works great. They are correct in stating that AppleShare is too chatty. It sucks bandwidth. Thats why you don't use it, and thats why they're running Netware. There is a Netware client for MacOS, right? Thats my 2 quid...

    this machine is running 98SE with ie 5.5 sp1 and all the related security patches. My other windows machine is running 98se with IE removed. (98Lite) The other 2 machines in my room run FreeBSD. Fun.

    Why the hell is it that every one of the linux zealots that read and post to slashdot BITCH AND MOAN about Microsoft products, claiming that they're the most worthless piece of shit software company on the planet? Anyone who has to reinstall a Windows OS every god damn month is just a fucking moron. Anyone who can't keep a Windows machine up for more than a day is also a damn moron. Sure, you have to reboot to patch and install software, but who the hell cares?

    This System Has Been On For 4days 4hrs 55mins 23secs ---Oh, it's been JUST about that long since the latest IE patch was released and installed. Come on, get a damn clue and jump off that damn bandwagon.

    ps2 Mouse support is available at setup time without a kernel rebuild in FreeBSD.

    Granted, LINT is hardly complete documentation, but a "man -devicename-" will give you much more information.

    Experience gives you the ability to write out kernel config files in about 20 seconds. Generic is so bloated now that configuring for a server with only NICs and hard drives only involves commenting out all the other crap. I would think a menu driven system would make this process even slower and more painful, but the option would be nice for novices. New project for me? Maybe...

    How hard is that? I'm not even at a FreeBSD machine right now. GUI's for system configurations are for Linux and Windows zealots.
