    uhm the PowerPC spec is available from motorola and IBM. Apple only makes the motherboards that go in their machines, this isn't much different than buying a dell, or compaq.

    but seriously... I remember Microsoft actually bringing Be into the arguments during the original case about a year ago when they lost the first time! Of course they also said their were as many Mac users as their are Win 95 users (yeah, good job not bringing up win 98 (and now ME) or NT into it))

    I don't think Enlightenment, kaleidoscope or any of the other theme's have anything to worry about, after all, this is an easy one to win in court, they were around before the patent.

    I am wondering how the patent ever got awarded, themes have been around forever, almost as long as the gui itself!!!

    I find it very humorous that Microsoft cannot understand what the "free" means. It doesn't mean "free" as in buy 3 packs of cigarettes and get a free lighter. It means as in this is a free country, and we are all free to do for the most part whatever we want, as long as it doesn't interfere with someone else's pursuit of happiness, it does not mean someone can just come over and take away a bunch of people cuz we don't cost anything.
    Funny that Microsoft just cannot seem to understand it.

    oh come on! You are running Linux aren't you? How can you bring up "Hardware driver support may be limited" arguments running anything other than windows?? Not to mention that OSX will have a much better driver base than the current macos has.

    ...because they are OpenBSD!!! ;)

    Of course the DNS servers are down, it's running on windows, hasn't it been about 3 months since the last time they rebooted? It's actually a pretty nice feature of windows. Been awhile since the last reboot? Windows will automatically let you know it.

    I just recently set up an exchange server on my dialup account (dont ask). After looking at tcpdump output I figured out that earthlink is blocking smtp from going anywhere except through there smtp server! well yeah!!! otherwise they could be respondible for you using their bandwidth to spam. Sorta like if you give someone a gun and they shoot someone with it, the lawyers seem to see a connection with that ;-)
