If my career involved playing WoW, Halo3, or creating Myspace/Gia Online profiles, I'd be waiting for that kick in the head. But since it doesn't, I'm not worried.

It was an engineering college, so there wasn't any segregation to one side of the campus. The liberal arts department existed only to satisfy the state arts/humanities requirements and did not offer any degrees until later on - and that was in "interdisciplinary sciences" where you basically took a wide combination of science, math, engineering, & lib arts courses. It was mainly a way to get some non-geek pre-med women on campus. The dean of students would sometimes have little open forum type meetings in the dorms to ask students for their ideas on how to make campus life better. Recruiting and keeping more female students was always brought up...quite a few would leave their freshman year after getting their Mrs degree from a graduating senior with a job offer and continue their education somewhere else. Severe alcohol abuse, bad grades, and the thought of living like a monk for 4 years would get rid of many of the male students after the 1st couple years. It was a good place though if you just wanted to study and not have a "typical college social life". Having a girlfriend in the real world was another reason to look forward to graduation and getting a job.

It would have been a bit north of DU. But no, they were real women...real fat & ugly...some looked like ugly guys and you couldn't tell what they were except by what dorm they lived in. That's right. No co-ed dorms. Of course, that made it much easier for people to park horse trailers in front of the doors of the female dorm or put up cattle crossing signs. The "hot women" would have been considered plain to average at most colleges. After a while some of the 'normal gals' on campus would start to look ok. A visit to one's hometown and seeing someone that you went to high school would result in an "OMG WTF was I thinking" moment that would snap you back to reality very quickly. Spare time was spent studying, getting drunk, or watching lots of TV re-runs. My college roommate had memorized all the dialog to M*A*S*H.

The male:female ratio at my college was ranged between 3:1 & 4:1 and only a few that were remotely attractive. It's bad when a high school class of 36 people had more attractive women than your freshman class in college and it only got worse as the years went by. But not everyone can say that their volleyball team could probably kick the football team's ass. The weight difference was certainly negligible.

I don't care how popular an artist or song is, I just want to see all the artists in a given genre, click on the their name, and see everything that's available for them. Then people will bitch and moan that they were scammed and will demand a rebate or some sort of credit when the song drops from a $1.50 to $1. IMHO, Apple probably likes the fact that there is a standard price. It makes it simple for the customer and simple for them to keep track of the transactions. They don't have to deal with each label setting up some odd pricing scheme and managing customer pricing disputes. I can't recall if my econ class ever went into situation where you basically have an infinite supply of a product.
