  1. A different perspective on iTunes for Windows Reviews · · Score: 1

40 MB of RAM without music library and nothing is playing????
Is iTunes accessing iTunes Music Store. That's when it's using 35-40 MB of RAM.

iTunes setup is 20 MB because it includes Quicktime 6.4

As for as Winamp launching really fast, do you have Winamp running in the system tray by default? It makes it "launch" in a second because it's actually launched when windows starts.

  2. Re:FUTURAMA SUCKS on One Last New Episode of Futurama · · Score: 1

Is there a better description for FUTURAMA?

Just because it's a "Geek Humor" as you dubbed it, doesn't mean it's not funny at all.

Futurama is funny even if you're not a "geek".

"its good shit, but not the popular strategy."

Just because it's not another "reality based" television program or any other "stereotypical" television programs, it doesn't make Futurama any less popular.

The known fact is that there are a small group of people who in essence don't give a damn about Futurama. They are FOX NETWORK EXECUTIVES.
Why even bother putting a program into your programming wthout any intention to promote it.

It's a surprise that Futurama last 5 TV seasons (4 production seasons). With lousy time slot, and being the redheaded stepchild of FOX Programming Schedule (pun intended - FRY), Futurama is doomed by the third season (quote of sarcasm: "This show has gone downhill since the third season" - BENDER SHOULD NOT BE ALLOWED ON TV)

    FUTURAMA, it does NOT suck!
It's merely mistreated by FOX (CRAP as described in The Simpsons - when Homer bought Animatronix-imightmisspelledit- stocks and he said: "What is this CRAP?" - "FOX .......")

And, oddly, the Hybrid Civic CVT gets better mileage in the city than it does on the highway, much like the Toyota Prius.
Well, Gas/Electric Hybrid cars; in general have better mileage when running at lower speed, because it generally used more of the electricity than the gas.
On highways, cars are running at higher speeds. I beleve the engine needs more power than the electricity can provide. That's why the mileage on the highway is lower.

Also, the non-hybrid Civic HX can be ordered with a CVT (good for comparison, and isolation of CVT performance):
    36/44 (manual) 4.90 tons/yr
    35/40 (CVT auto) 5.20 tons/yr

For a comparison, here's the spec for Toyota ECHO
    Mileage Estimates (mpg city/highway)
    Manual 34/41
    Automatic 31/38

That's great for a Gas only car.

Gas-Electric hybrid car with manual transmission, it would have higher MPG ratio, wouldn't it?

    Pressing CD & DVD Discs
Stampers are used to create replicas by moulding, but there is a lot more to making CDs and DVDs than just moulding.

CD and DVD discs are made by first moulding using stampers produced during mastering and then metallising and lacquering (CD) or bonding (DVD). The steps are:

    * Injection moulding of the clear polycarbonate discs using a hydraulic moulding machine
    * Metallising to create an aluminium reflective surface
    * Lacquering to protect the reflective surface of CDs ready for printing
    * Bonding of 2 substrates to produce a DVD disc
    * Printing of the disc label on top of the lacquer.
