Is this Western Samoa , or American Samoa? (I haven't been to either one, but I have been in the city with the highest population of (western) Samoans ie Auckland.

Driving in to KFC or McD's doesn't use much effeort, and the food is far richer in fats. as well as calories. It seems to have affected them more than the Maori and Cook Island Maori people, probably because the latter have more genetic inheritance from white people. But Samoans can be good athletes if they discipline their diet and exercise - some of them even make the All Blacks (The best rugby team in the world)

A few years back the owner of the local NBC station (and also the local CBS station) had a dissagreement with the cable company and we were without NBC for a while. (There was another CBS channel broadcasting in our local area so we still had CBS). I think the cable company eventually gave in and paid for the local content since it couldn't legally offer us any other NBC station. Of course this is a smaller cable company than comcast, and the owner of the NBC station is a media conglomerate from Texas and the phone company offered another choice of TV provider.

But these days I only wath the local TV for news and wweather anyway, NBC has few shows I would watch.

All the energy we use (apart from Fission reactors and geothermal) comes from a fusion reactor, its just that the reactor is 1 AU away. Most of the energy we use has been stored in the form of carbon (coal) or hydrocarbons (oil and gas) over millions of years. But we can't continue using that source since there is already too much CO2 in the atmosphere..

We can utilise some of tthe energy from that fusion reactor directly (solar) or indirectly (wind) but its not a constant reliable supply. Extracting hydrogrn from water is a way of storing that energy so we can use it when the wind is not blowing and the sun is blocked by clouds or at night, and also as a war of fueling transportation which currently uses carbon based fuels.Hydrogen atill has a better energy density per weight than batteries.

Depends upon your definitions. If you think that a multi-tonne SUV with the aerodynamic efficiency of a brick is a 'car' then you would be right that its not going to go far on battery power.
But its not going to go far on gas either. We tried gas powered vehicles in the country I come from a while back and it wasn't too successful. The low energy density and extra weight of the tank to hold the compressed gas was the problem even though the fuel was a lot cheaper than petrol.

But smaller single occupant vehicles powered by electric batteries would work well for city commuting.
