I suspect it depends on your diet and physiological make up. My wife tends towards a vegetarian diet, and as such we tend to eat vegetarian meals at least 3 times a week. This sort of thing works fine for many people, but I find myself craving meat on days when I haven't eaten any - to the point that I end up snacking. Is this phychological or physiological - I don't know. But I would certainly say that food without meat does not seem as filling to me than that with meat.
What works for one person, may not for another - and not just because of "prejudice and ignorance"
Written as I enjoy a green salad with carrots for lunch!
Most teenagers understand the consequences in an academic sense, but most have not yet developed the self control to handle the consequences of their actions. This is why in the eyes of the law, you are not viewed as fully accountable for your actions until you are 18. It is also why parents must provide the structure and discipline for their teens - even if they fight it. They will not provide it for themselves and end up being those people that have no jobs, leech off others and do nothing but watch reality tv all day.
I think the predictions of the death of consoles may be a bit premature. A console is merely a walled garden similar to that provided with IOS, but without the portability. So long as there is a place for televisions as a large, immersive non mobile media experience, there will be consoles.
Incorrect - java will allow assignment code inside a conditional statement so long as it is a boolean - most decent IDEs will flag it as suspicious but it will compile. e.g:
if((i = 3) == 2){
}
I hugely support free speech, but this falls outside the realms of that. To illustrate: I have the right to call my neighbour a jerk. I probably even have the right to put a sign on my front lawn, with an arrow pointing to his house saying "a jerk lives here." I do not however have the right to put such a sign on HIS lawn.
Westboro can spread whatever message they want, but as individuals we all have the right not to listen to them. Once we have expressed this, what happens next is NOT free speech, but rather an attempt to harass others into submitting to their will. Preaching "God Hates Whoever" in your church is like putting a sign on your lawn. Picketing a funeral is definitely putting a sign on your neighbours lawn.
On the flipside, automated payroll deductions mean that I am far less likely to have to go through an audit and never have to pay somebody to "do my taxes" for me.
And how do you orchestrate this "retribution"? Perhaps a system where everybody gives over some resources in order for nescessary business like this to be conducted..
You can bet that there hasn't been a salary negotiation since the dawn of time when management hasn't said that if they have to pay employees more, then the company will fail. In most cases, it is pure FUD.
Where I live there is a chain of supermarkets that used to take cash only (Aldi). They kept getting robbed because criminals knew they had large amounts of cash on hand. These days they accept debit cards too.
Did anybody ever pick the "Sister Miriam" faction in that game? It always seemed kind of perverse that no matter how far we go, chances are we will still be dragging crap like that with us...
I doubt "intellectually disabled" will ever replace "retarded" as a slur - it has too many syllables - most slurs have 3 or less syllables because anything more is just too much effort to use in an angry rant.
Depends on the ability of the parasite to capture a new host once they are finished with their current one - see parasitic wasps that lay their eggs in caterpillars as an example.

Also copper thieves would have a field day - no need to haul anything away - just cut the cable near the bottom and watch the metal flow into a bucket

Absolutely - don't feed the trolls
No other ammo aside from that he provides will work with the gun? He must work for Apple...

How are they suppressing free speech? Seems to me that all they are doing it removing somebody else's veil of anonymity. (Ironic...)

Remote desktop in cases where bandwidth is limited is just painful - SSH is your friend.
Have you ever been anywhere outside the US? There are enormous urban areas where you shouldn't expect the police to arrive at all!

Anybody with an XBox live account would disagree

I bet the results would be even worse if every player was given a different number of chips.
Do you really want cops to go around wearing these? https://encrypted-tbn2.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcSIPe3ksD52uHSUG07yEyX10nBqF1_B8SyumATzKqr4Q43eCcYK
How is this any different from what politicians do?

Did you read the background to the case? This is about criminal exploitation of a minor, blackmail and intimidation - far more than just "words"
A correlation is an assumption based on available data - a theory. It may be a well founded, ridiculous or anything in between

Wish I had mod points...
