Our web shop has completely ceased using drupal for new websites now; we've tried drupal 8 and it simply doesn't fit the needs for our customers. Our upgrade path will be to Backdrop
A cautionary tale I think about relying too much on a single proprietary technology or ecosystem. When that technology is inevitably retired, the dependent system is then in jeopardy.
I'm a freelance web designer, and have been producing websites since 1999 (I started at 15). I managed to get hold of a copy of Adobe Photoshop 5.5, as released in 1999, along with Dreamweaver 3, Flash 4, Fireworks 3 and a few others of the same vintage. I upgraded DW to version 6 (MX) when someone gave me a copy and a key for it.
I still use PS 5.5 almost weekly as part of my job with one of my clients, and still do a lot of editing in DW MX. I haven't upgraded either because of both the costs involved and the changes to the user interface in both pieces of software in the last 10 to 15 years.
True this. The reason that I CC-BY-NC-*'d was so that randomers could download my music and not get stung for it. As far as I'm concerned, downloading and listening online is the new radio.
All of the music I write is CC-BY-NC-ND and CC-BY-NC-SA licensed. I don't want some random person getting a 'fine' because they downloaded one of my songs.
I don't make any money from the music I write because I freely give non-commercial rights to it away. I've touched about ~1000 people or so with my songs so far, and I'm okay with that. Self-whoring imminent: http://www.soundcloud.com/asteconn Have some free music.

Sounds like you need a simple mechanism for unique passwords. I have a suggestion for you to consider.
Personally - I "salt" a standard password with the name of the website: the first initial of each of the words in a site's name for example. If my 'standard' password was for example "Aware20130530ness", and I was signing up for slashdot, I can simply add the letters to the start of the password, resulting in "sdAware20130530ness"

I'm very surprised that no one has yet mentioned a site like Imgur as an alternative.
Hadn't a clue it was even a thing. Would have hopped along if I was aware of it.
In that case I stand corrected
The IRA, UDA and other splinter groups from the Northern Irish troubles are excellent examples of Christian extremists.
Kind of heartwarming to see Malvern make the news somehow, especially on /.
My car has a fairly basic trip computer, being able to check my range and my MPG reading is awfully useful.
It's almost as if companies exist to earn as much money as possible

I consider code elegant if I can read it and understand it on the first try, personally.
Nope. I use OpenOffice and LibreOffice
