No, you see, it's because a VW bug seems kinda harmless. Like, if they said it was the size of a Lincoln Navigator people would freak out. Or if they used the example of a car of relative size to a VW bug, like, say a Pinto, people would have visions of gas tanks exploding.:end sarcasm:
The angular velocity of the object equals the square root of Pi, times the gravity divided by the distance the pancake is from the elbow times four - that is how to get the pancake back in the pan.
I have seen different versions of drivers for download displayed depending on the browser.
Specifically, and this was a year or two ago, I tried to download the Intellipoint mouse drivers in Mozilla, I was displayed a 3.x version...which I couldn't download, the link would just reload the page. I also tried it in Netscape and got the same issue. I then copied the URL, opened it in IE5 and was displayed a 4.x version, which I downloaded successfully.
They use browser version check routines, but not for cross-broswer compatibility...for IN-compatibility!
Don't take the job! Tell them you can't work for them if they're that paranoid.
I once interviewed for a company that attempted to do a credit check until I asked them why, then they backed off. They still did a ciminal check, which I didn't mind. After six or so interviews, I eventually didn't take the job because they wanted me to sign a salary agreement without letting me take it home and review it prior to signing. Very fishy business!
Haines complained to Tatro and other council members, they say, that Piper misled him by not spelling out that the city was looking for an Office replacement. Microsoft spokeswoman Stacy Drake, in a recent interview, called the proposal process "controversial and questionable." She would not be more specific. Haines declined interview requests.
They're so certain that they have their clients in their pocket, they just couldn't conceive that Houston would consider another alternative. Probably one of the wisest choices my city council has made in years, nay, decades! I shouldn't be so hard on them, there are some good council members in Houston.
Why are those people in that house looking at me through there living room window and laughing?!?!? I'm not an animal! I am a man! Please stop tormenting me....
oh, wait, they're watching comedy on one of those new window-tv's. *walks away embarrased*
admittedly, I hadn't thought of it until seeing this article.
We keep finding new moons around our gas giants, new planets further out in our solar system, so why shouldn't there be stray stars out beyond the "perimeter" of our galaxy (or others for that matter).
I suppose the "dark matter" speculation is that there are possibly many stars floating around between galaxies, too small and far away to be visible... all alone, with no massive gravity wells to keep them company. sigh...so sad
From the slashback article: "We are a poor country. We cannot develop operating systems and platforms on our own." Hmm, seems like they are doing ok in this instance.
I think I would rather have the whole download saved on my server than have to download an older version and still have to re-download all those freakin pathces every time I reinstall.
you gave all the morons that want so badly to believe that we never really went to the moon some rocks and clubs and let them live in caves on an island somewhere. Since they can't seem to accept that technology, by it's very nature, evolves then maybe they aren't ready for anything more advanced than stone age tech.
One more thing, a bit off topic... I really loved it when Aldrin popped that guy in the face!
British punk, Cal hardcore, NYHC... whatever, it was all pretty cool.
But don't forget Texas punk: Butthole Surfers, Big Boys, The Dicks, Ed Hall. Ed Hall a bit "post-punk", but still a way cool band. Crank up the way-back machine!
Play nice now. Little Johnny, time out for you! No email priviledges, go sit in the corner.

The issue is that cheaters make games less fun and less entertaining for the people that are not willing to stoop to that level.

Would that be an African or European swallow?
It was the first comment making such a statement!
if a dupe falls in the forest and nobody is there to first post it, was it really a fish in the first place?
"no Homerssss, we can have one, sorry Homer."
What would it take to put a clause in the GNU license that says "except Microsoft" ;-).
That would be the "No Homers" clause.

it's strange seeing VHS referred to in the past-tense. I still have tons of VHS tapes and a working VCR!

they would have "disappeared" Yakoff Smirnoff and his body would have quietly decayed in the Siberian tundra.
It's just way too much of a distraction, even if it's just in the backseat to placate your screaming little brats with Disney's latest brainrot!

Yeah, I know that, dicksmack. I still had problems with, expecially with NT4/2000 admin tools.
What exactly is the point here?
My laptop at work came pre-instaled with XP, I gave it 1 month before I finally got sick of it and wiped it and installed Win2k.
The XP interface is way too clunky. It's all rounded and hard-candy shaped, and not to mention dog-slow! And this is on a decently fast system.
