Yeah, the randomize seems to get stuck into a small set of the total amount of songs. I turned the morph rate up and it changed it but it still seems there are plenty of songs it ignores. I think the guy that posted below has the right idea, randomize the list and play straight through, although you will have to sort if you want to find a particular song.
I've been doing random shuffle in Winamp for years, mostly for the reason stated in the article: with a big collection (1063 songs here) some music will get lost or forgotten.
Although, some of my collection are entire albums encoded as one mp3, Pink Floyd - Animals (also the Flying Frog Brigade live version of Animals), Jethro Tull - Thick As A Brick. Albums like these have a sort of theme that wouldn't make as much sense if you listened to parts of it alone. Of course, I also have seperate playlists of certain genre or bands, sometimes I want punk and no jazz or maybe I only want to listen to Butthole Surfers.
As far as it bringing out something magical in the mix of songs, I don't think so. Maybe it's just that you forgot you had a particluar song that you really like and then it plays and you remember how cool it is, so it seems like the player is intuitive or something. Or maybe people really are dain bramaged!
TV just sucks anymore. When I do watch TV, it's usually old movies or stuff that was air maybe 6 months or more ago. Granted, with internet, work, games and such I don't have much time for it, but idf there was something good on I'd make the time.
A database tracking the beer drinking habits of fat rednecks. Let me see if I care... NO! Interesting application of software, but I'm pretty sure it's been done many times with other products.
The Washington press corps took Gore's statement, "During my service in the United States Congress, I took the initiative in creating the Internet," and changed "initiative" to "invent" which makes it mean something else entirely. In fact it becomes an absurd statement, one the RNC was glad to jump on like flies on shit and paint Gore as a liar.
Go here and scroll down to "Where does spin come from? Inventing the Internet".
I think the swearing part (or even any coherent words) is rare. Most of the time it's guttural noises or howling. Some sufferers try to disguise it by making it sound like they have a chronic cough.
I don't think it can scan if the zip is passworded. We have been able to get around it without passwording by renaming extensions, but I think with ascii files, like scripts, etc. it does actually look at them. It doesn't care about script code in a.txt file. I think the main thing it is concerned with are files that can be run by double-clicking. A renamed exe, on a Windows box at least, can't be run.
My company's email server anti-virus software will block out.exe's and most script files among other file formats even when zipped. The way to get around it if you really needs to send that type of file is to use an encrypted or password protected zip file. So, I use the encryption regularly!
The ITAA are the same bunch of idiots that convince corporate America a few years back that it was A-OK to send IT jobs off-shore. 'cause, you know, to help the economy, we have to, like, take your jobs away!
This is a ridiculous idea. In the past month I have been patching servers like mad just to keep up with the latest discovered flaws. If my employer were fined because one of our servers contributed to a virus outbreak, how long would it be before they docked my pay for it? I would be pretty po'd if after a month of putting fires out my boss said, "nice work, but you're paying the bill!" This is yet another one of those "tough action" things that really only ends up hurting the little guy. Just like the virus authors themselves, it is ultimately the sys admins that have to pay the price.
Coffee? An ex-coworker of mine who had been diagnosed with ADHD couldn't handle coffee. I'm not sure if it was really an ADHD thing or maybe the fact that he had the matabolism of a hummingbird. Anyway, a little coffee and he couldn't sit still, however, it did send his productivity through the roof! Later he would crash hard, usually before the workday was over.
Has anyone tried anything like Gingko, etc? I guess that really isn't good for the problem since it's an overactive brain, gingko might make it worse, heh. What about marijauna, then?
Wow, dude, you've got a lot of hatred welled up right there. You know, when people are forced, through brainwashing or other means, to believe something that can't be backed up by facts, they usually respond to differing opinions with the piss and vinegar stated above.
French people are disgusting cowards. Ahh, yes, respond with childish name calling, how quaint.
Those pieces of shit desecrating the graves of the brave souls who laid down their lives Who is desecrating whose graves? I don't understand.
whom they considered a close personal friend (why else would they have so fully supported the nazi regime, fucking cunts.) Close personal friend? Fully supported? Wow, some people will believe any of the spewage that comes off Fox News these days. Here's an idea, go check some history books, and not ones written recently by neo-con pundits. I'm talking about factual history, here, not revisionist history. Oh, and more name calling. You're showing your IQ here, careful!
Why don't people like the guy above ever whine about Germany? I mean, didn't they, too, oppose this war? I don't hear anyone wanting to rename the "Hamburger". Or, maybe it's that the neo-cons might have to give up driving their BMW's and Benz's. Why just France? Is it that maybe some people just have a deep seated hatred of France, and now feel it's open season?
To sum up, fuck France, and fuck you hippie. Yes, that's nice, thank you.
That being said, I support your right to spout your ignorant comments and remind you that a lot of blood has been shed to protect that right. You don't support my right to free speech, people that disagree with the president are trying to protect your right to free speech! That's all a lot of talk to make yourself look a teensy bit better after that diatribe. You don't understand even the basic concepts of free speech. If you did, you might stop to consider the reasons why so many people, hippie and yuppie, left AND right, regardless of race or economic status, do not support this war. And if you want to talk about bloodshed, yes, a lot has spilled to protect our rights, but a lot has also been spilled to protect the rights of oil companies. Have you noticed that nothing at all has changed in Iraq since before the bombs started falling? Except maybe the fact that more buildings have been destroyed. You just wait another 5-10 years, you'll see that Iraq is no freer, and yet another dictator will be in place under the supervision of the US. Diplomacy was working, the inspections were working, but good ol' W had to keep rattling his saber and mouthing off (kinda like you are) and that's pretty much what pissed Germany and France off. They don't like Saddam any more than we do. And if you want to play the WMD card, yes, France sold them weapons... gasp! So did we!!!!! Who's the real bad guy here? And if you have a problem with something that Jacque Chirac (he's the president of France, did you know that?) said, why do you have to roll the entire population of France up into one generalization? My guess is that you probably have racist tendencies, which goes back to my earlier statement that you know NOTHING about free speech.
By the current (and unelected) US administration's definition, pretty much anything anyone does is considered a terrorist activity... except for terrorizing French people and people that have the gall to excersize their rights to free speech, freedom of assembly, freedom of/from religion and pretty much anything else that gives people like George Bush and John Ashcroft bad dreams and acid reflux.
...that I have tried to collect on. Granted, I have only tried to collect on maybe 4 or 5, some of which were not computer related.
This is a rather common "scam", if it can really be called a scam. You mail your form, the mail room "processes" the form, i.e. - puts it in a bin that says "Do not open until rebate expiration", the company doesn't have to honor the rebate since the expiration has passed... sorry, you lose! The company, however, now has demographic info that can used/sold/etc.
"But you will all burn forever in eternal hellfire!"
"Yes, that's nice, thank you for stopping by."

I'll split it with you: I turn you in and you claim your computer was just an infected drone. When the charges are dropped we split the 1/4 mil, k?
Yep, this version was written by Biafra. The original was Phil Ochs. Oh, by the way, Biafra for Prez in 2004! who cares if he's not running.
Overrated? When there was no rating in the first place?
Yeah, sure, if you repeat it enough you might actually start to believe that. I pray that worms invade your intestines.
Filmed in Supermarionation!!!!!!

Now you can get stoned back to the Jurassic age! Prehistoric, man!

wouldn't that be like a borg hive? ...Aiborgs!
Cookware community in disarray. Millions turning to open fire and spit method. Film at 11.
Go check out Gene Catlow. It's a web comic, go to the beginning in the archives. Coffee that gives you psychic powers, hehe.
