And I scored 6.79. But a few things that it docked points for seem out of line. Running postfix will dock points (I'd assume that running any MTA) will dock points, from the wording of the report.
I realize that MTA's can be exploited, but it seems that the only way to get a 10.00 is to have a system that has no network connection to the outside world.
A few months ago, back when the subscription flap was in full swing, Rob mentioned that they would start (essentially) posting company press releases for money.
Actually, that could make some money. I can see them now...

Mandrake 9.0 will, according to various insider posts on the Mandrake Cooker mailing list (Warly, IIRC), be out around September 15, give or take a week.
hat's not what costs $18 per CD! What costs $18 per CD is the audio engineer that was paid to mix the tracks in the studio where the music was recorded...
Bzzt! Wrong. You know how much a CD wholesales for? c. $10. The largest portion of the profit is to the retailer (at least the retailer that can get $18/CD).
Yes, many labels opposed radio in the early days. Capitol Records, though, when they started in the early 40's, began the process of encouraging disc jockeys to play their songs on the radio. Within ten years, Capitol was the dominant label, mainly because they had built up relations with all the radio DJ's and had a much easier time geting their artists on the air, which resulted in higher sales (which they parlayed into being able to sign the bigger artists, such as Sinatra in the 50's).
I'd rather have earthquakes, though, than tornados, blizzards, or hurricanes.
What's wrong with blizzards? (apart from their DMCA stuff...) Blizzards rock, period. Start a fire, be snowed in, playing games all day. It's the life, man.

Mandrake just jumped to gcc-3.2 in their devel. branch. Beta 2 of Mandrake 9.0, all subsequent betas, and 9.0 final will use gcc-3.2.
Already done

Yeah, I posted before watching the video...
I may have been away from /. for several months (since before the blackout), but I think I've gotten back into the mindset.
PS: great site!
No, look at the analogy:
Emacs : Vi :: XP : Unix
So Emacs == XP. Ha!
Mandrake Cooker (sort of the equivalent of Debian Woody or Sid) has used gcc-3.1 as its sytem compiler since May 6.
If you want to update all the sources (except for those based on removable media), do a

It's the K5 invasion of Slashdot!
And Toyota still hasn't really figured it out... The Camry is one of the few cars I've encountered that requires anything higher than 87 octane.

Not to mention that we think tonic is wicked pissah!
Yeah, all versions of IE after 4.0 identify themselves as Mozilla/4.0
I've been using Opera, with it's tabbed UI since version 2.0, which was, IIRC, c. 1998. So there.
However, when Opera spoofs IE, it only says:
Uh, they made a version of Opera 5 for the PPC. I expect that a PPC build of Opera 6 will be released shortly.
Here's Opera 5 for LinuxPPC

You're misinformed wrt radio.

You know, a masterful film was made exploring this issue, back in 1978, starring the incomparable talents of Ken Berry and Roddy MacDowell.
How it is it news that a pussy can manipulate people?

Slap a type-R sticker on your drive. I did it, and I swear I got an extra MB/sec out of my ATA/100.
I'm thinking of putting a spoiler on it. I figure that's good for at least 850KB/sec. Any recommendations?
