    i quit reading facebook update because of all of the adds for different games and crap on facebook. all i wanted was to know what my freinds who do not live near me where doing in meatspace now all there is are posts of "look at this funny/inspirational/religious/photoshopped picture some else posted i and i am reposting" and "i am playing a flash game you need to play the flash game to" i don't want to see more freaking adds. can we a decrapafied section of the Internet where we all agree that any spammer or shill are to be kicked out and never allowed back in?

    or the ability to plug in to thing like screens telescopes microscopes security systems. i can imagine all sorts of extension of this tech.
    air traffic controllers able to plug into a radar system. or hook up a sonar system and have 360 degree detection?

    awesome. and you are so right the only reason i have my windows partition still is for games that need direct3D and hardware acceleration. if this turn out to be true, i will be able to whack the windows partition for good.

    i also know why they are doing this windows 8 is becoming more locked down with their windows marketplace, and my in the future try to kill off steam because it competes with their own products. apple is headed to where everything is distributed through the mac apps store and will try to block steam. steam is also planning a console of there own which will be made of standard x86_64 parts. my bet is that they are going to make it Linux based. i hope it works for them.

    i have a number of friends who are interested in switching to linux but are held back by games. if steam comes they will probably switch over to. this could actually make desktop Linux a going concern like the netbooks almost did.

    nes is what like 30 years old now? emulating it could probably be done by a dumb phones possessor with out to much strain. A modern arm system will take a lot more power.

    time outs are crap when i was a kid all time outs meant was that i had to sit in a corner pissed at my parents and plotting to do what i wanted anyway with out getting caught. spanking made me not want to do that again because it hurt. time outs were just a delaying tactic.

    no it could not infect linux equally well and not because of linuxs security but because of the user they are generally more computer savy and would have been less likely to execute random code. also iirc beleive linuxs gets jre updates sooner than mac and then would of been secure sooner.

    they wont though because thou shalt not have a traditional desktop, you most have unity because unity is the way of the future and it is the perfect form factor for in Linux in all environments be it desktop phone tablet or tv all must be one and don't you dare ask to put it on the right side it must be on the left.
