Greetings;
Being a technician, I run into a ton of different problems, with computers, including internet providers. Lately, I have been working with a older man, and he has Juno. It will dial the number, but it won't connect. We've tried multiple numbers, no luck. We've then tried a different internet provider, and it connected right away at 48K, so in any case, we would email Juno and ask them your problem/question/consern. Juno has a clever way of having a "word" search for technical support, just like any other major corperation. But, it doesn't do any good. They do give you a number to call, but they will charge you for technicial support. They will not help there "free" customers. Now, I remember back in the day when I used to use Juno, I never had a problem with it, and it was pretty popular back then. What happened with there good service? They became too big, and now there servers suck? If they combine with Netzero, which has terrible service as well, make things even worst. 2 ISP's that both suck now, combining? This should be interesting.
The P2 has to be the UGLIEST looking system I've ever seen! I don't care if it can play dvds, and playstation 1 and 2 games. There just doing this, to make more money, They are only making good games for playstation 2, therefore making people buy the playstation 2, to enjoy the gaming once again.
Greetings,
I am a admin on webFreaks.org, a small private linux box. We had problems with our mail connecting to theres, and their mail connecting to our mail servers. I emailed root@msn.com, to notify them of the problem, thinking I wouldn't get a reply, less then a day, I got a reply from the root@msn.com "guy", with very friendly help. We sent numous emails back and forth during that week, testing different mail servers, etc, and finally figured it out. It had to be the best tech support from a huge company that I've ever gotten in my life. I'm not big on msn, but I sure do love the root guy! But, I have noticed big companies, and trying to get a hold of someone, or even trying to resolve a issue is pretty much impossible. Expecially spam related issues.
How is Microsoft getting this information? Are they hiring spies to go in buildings to find old MS employees? Don't they have enough money, already? Isn't this against the law too?
I've actually looked into this program. Unfortunally, it wasn't as great and easy as I once thought. There is about a 10 step process, with like 6 programs you all have to do, you have to burn the video, then the audio, and then make sure there in sync with each other. It's just a mess, it's easier just to pay $20 and buy yourself a DVD. The information can be contained here, but i'm not responsible for what you do with it.
Even though, it kills my CPU heavily, it's still need to watch when your extremely bored, and no new slashdot articles have been added in the past 15 minutes. Don't you hate that? I know schools that run seti@home on all there machines, hoping to find something. I know for a fact, they won't.
It makes me wonder, and i'm sure i'm not the only one, is Seti@Home real, or is it running cpu cyles on my machine to bog me down, and to give me a really neat screen saver? I have about 500 units now, running it for more then a year, I've never seen anything cool about it. The only reason I still run is to complete against my friend, for units.
Matrix was so hard to understand, even for a average geek, like myself. Was I the only one that really doesn't understand the story behind it? I know there in a computer related world, that computers have taken over (Most likely ran by Microsoft) and they have to beat the computer? Something along those lines. Even though the movie is very confusing -- it's still a great movie, with the special effects, and so on. So, yeah! Lets make another one..
... If only you could switch between, high CPU speed and small usage battery, and slow CPU speed, and high usage battery. So, it would fit the perfect gammer, and the perfect business man, writting up word documents.
As to your query about big screens going out fast, that is correct. They actually say on the big screen, that if you only use it for DVD usage, it will burn out. Your only suppose to use big screens for 10%/weekly DVD usage. On the other hand, we just bought a 55 WIDE Screen HDTV, and so far so good. DVD Images are incredible, i've never seen anything so nice in my life. On the other hand, DSS and regular cable aren't so purddy.
Unfortunally, Linux can be difficuilt at times for any adverge person. On the other hand -- I mastered it in days. But... I think Linux is going a little too far for little kids. They really don't have "Educational" programs for Linux, like they do, Windows. I'm all for Linux, but in this case, I would have to say Windows would be the best bet. Good luck soldier.

This has to be the dumest thing I've seen all day!
A P3-500 Isn't THAT old! Of course, I have a AMD 700, but a 500 isn't old, You could sell it, for a few hundred, then having to pay someone to get rid of it for you.
I actually leave my cover open. I use a mod chip which allows me to play backup games, and I have to leave it open, to switch out the cds.
;)
Pretty nifty stuff people come up with

I had a feeling about that, but I wasn't 100% positive. Thank you for clearing that up for both of us. Now, can we get back to the topic? Thanks...

1Coms.com is another great domain service. Only $8.75/year for domains. They dont filter out the bad words either! Woohoo!
