I don't like that there won't be (even on DVDs) Scouring of Shire. That's why I find LOTR so great - it's so bitter-sweet end that war has got consequences even in such an idylic places like Shire.
One example - in Samba = 3 is packet "decoded" in various places. In Samba 4 there will be one single place where will be COMPLETE packet decoded (even things which are completely useless for Samba). For example - this enables you to assemble new packet and use Samba server as gateway to you Win2k server.
Samba is really nice piece of software but as the evolution goes on and on there are things on the "todo" list which you couldn't think of when doing first design.
There are some projects which are trying to modify rc scripts to boot on background (now it's sequential - after one is completely started up next one is started). Problem is dependency but I've seen some quite good solution to this. But I don't remember the name any more:-(
The main point is you can have easily (OK - not so easy, but easy for NSA etc.) database of all password-hash pairs. Thats why Linux uses so caled "salt" which can change system to system which causes that you'd had to have password-salt-hash triplets which is HARD to have;)
If people take the films for free and the Studios can't recoup their investment, they may not be able to make the big summer movies we all enjoy so much; the TITANICs, the SPIDER-MANs, the JURASSIC PARKs.
Who the f. cares if there is no more Titanic? And by the way - Spider man earned a LOT even in Kazaa times:)
Some vendors (Promise D-Link 520+ etc.) are using their own 802.11b standard (WiFi) called 802.11b++ but they doesn't provide Linux drivers. Since this card should have 22 Mbit/s insted of standard 11 Mbit/s ppl want to use it in routers etc. but there are no Linux drivers. So some hackers (not crackers!) looked how does Windows drivers (or any other) control and use (when I call this card does this) this card and tries to implement it in Linux.
BEWARE - SPOILER!

RedHat's primary advantage was its low cost for a fully supported product
That's probably the reason why they left RedHat Linux - too much of support (equals skilled manpower equals lot of money) for low cost.
6. Profit!
MSH - doesn't it mean MicroSoft Hell?

Hey - I use 1991 keyboard with my dual Opteron database server :)
I get 10%-20% of the transfer with SMB as I do with NFS.
You are kidding, aren't you? Did you mean 10-20% LESS THEN NFS? (e.g. 10 MB/s NFS vs 9 MB/s SMB)
Why should we hope? What does - has what + doesn't? (I really don't know) I think that it only makes a mess :(
IIRC they can't do the weapon research because they lost WWII :)

Windows XP are usually nothing more then OS+GUI. But Linux usually boots all kind of services also.
Who cares? It's just c00l and Bill can't do it ;-)
Imagine a beowulf... hmmm... what?
Okay, start posting "C= 64 was the 'my first'/'last real'/'first real'/'best' computer/piece of crap" messages.
Just imagine a beowulf of these...
Just have a bigger gun :)
What about using IPv6?

ANY hash can produce same result on two different files since the amount of information in hash is amount of information in files.
OK - who'll post Bittorent link first? :)
Now we can kill'em all in humanity way.
Hey man - when will you damned americans start to use metric system? How many Mars probes must fail? .-)

I hope that yes 'coz Firebird is going to be Mozilla 1.5 and we need to spread SVG all around ;-)
