Maybe you should cut back on the pot annd read the article.
"despite what many researchers believe was a years-long period of darkness and frigid temperatures caused."
Nowhere does it even imply a few THOUSAND years.
And Volcanic winter is probably a pretty apt description of the after-affects of an asteroid effect. Ash dirt and dust being hurled into the atmosphere. Cracking of the crust releasing probably thousands of tons of molten rock.
And if the sun were blocked for THOUSANDS of years the die off would have been much greater as no food would grow. you could be pretty confident that all mammalian life would have disappeared. Bascally all life would have had to move back into the ocean until the atmosphere corrected it self.
Could it be possible that fertilized eggs do not hatch until conditions are survivable. Thus even though the previous colony had been wiped out the next generation hatched when the sky cleared and continued the line.
Everyone is so quick to let google off the hook on this, but something does not jibe with me. The previous story mentioned the fact that the images were in the index so if this 7 month figure is by any means accurate then the Abu Gharib images should never have been there.
Umm this is a quote from the blurb. which could allow a theoretically infinite number of players to connect at a hot spot and compete at a central game hub on the Internet
I think it is just a poorly worded comment and was making a joke.
I still believe the blurb does imply simultaneous connections.
Your talking about the malware bike mount? Not a charger. There is nothing on thinkdifferent.com nor that I could find on a google search about an iPod bicycle charger. If you know of when then please link directly to the product.
Oh yes and Apple has such a great history of opening up their technology to others. Let's see the last time they did it they almost drove themselves out of business. I really doubt you will see Apple opening iTunes while it is still in their control.
which could allow a theoretically infinite number of players to connect
Please oh please let me know where this magical hot spot is that can handle an infinite number of users. I mean who wouldn't want an infinite amount of bandwidth. Oh and I want that server that can handle an infinite number of connections.
Sheesh, theoretically my ass thats fairies and magic wishful thinking.
I want some of that pixie dust they have been snorting.
In America they cannot deny you the right to vote due to non-payment of taxes. thus creating a voting list from the tax rolls would be unconstitutional.
After reading the constitution yet again, it looks as though voting is more of a privilege then a right.
Look at it closely.
The only reasons they cannot deny you the right to vote are 1. due to race, color, or previous condition of servitude (Article XV) - Hmmmm and felons can't vote (look at Article XIII which seems to equate your sentence with involuntary servitude). 2. due to gender (Article XIX). Yay women can vote. 3. Failure to pay your taxes (Amendment XXIV) and 4. Due to age, as long as your are oder then 18 (Amendment XXVI).
So except for those reasons you can lose your right to vote.
Use it while you've got it, it's the only way to keep it.
After some more research into this (it's Friday I don't want to start a new project), I found this:
The original sense is of a logical fallacy, of taking for granted or assuming the thing that you are setting out to prove. To take an example, you might say that lying is wrong because we ought always to tell the truth. That's a circular argument and makes no sense. Another instance is to argue that democracy must be the best form of government because the majority is always right. The fallacy was described by Aristotle in his book on logic in about 350BC. His Greek name for it was turned into Latin as petitio principii and then into English in 1581 as beg the question. Most of our problems arise because the person who translated it made a hash of it. The Latin might better be translated as "laying claim to the principle". from here http://www.worldwidewords.org/qa/qa-beg1.htm.
It seems our problems with this phrase (other then the fact that the word beg is misused in this statement at least according to its accepted english definition. and should have been more accurately translated from its original greek "to en archei aiteisthai" meaning "at the beginning to assume" to its latin form "petitio principii" to "to assume the question". Unfortunately, some idiot in 1581 decided to use a direct translation (from aiteisthai which literally means "to beg" though in this case a more accurate translation is "to assume").
Ok my rambling will end soon enough.
If you take the phrase "begs the question" and use the accepted definitions of the words then it does mean "to earnestly ask the question" (at least when using the formal definition of beg), though the idea passed down to us from Aristotle is the fallacy of circular logic.
There now I have wasted some of my time and some of yours.
Language changes and as this usage is now the most commonly heard use of the phrase (to invite the obvious question). It would seem that you are quickly becoming wrong. I believe this usage has made it into the The Oxford Guide to English Usage but as I am at work I will have to look it up when I get home.
How does any president reform a law? I mean he can ask some congressman or senator to try and repeal/enact a law but he certainly does not have the power to propose a law.

5 pages????
Abu gharib returns 1 1/2 pages in image search.
Lyndie England returns no results in image search.
So how did you come across the 1st 5 pages. This is about the Image Search function not the Web Search.
owwww
beer just shot out of my nose.

It makes me think that the so called "random quotes" may not be so random.
Sorry I meant marware and thinkdifferentstore.com.
Your talking about the malware bike mount?
Not a charger. There is nothing on thinkdifferent.com nor that I could find on a google search about an iPod bicycle charger. If you know of when then please link directly to the product.
Interestingly enough following your link showed no such product. In fact even looking around I could not find an iPod bicycle recharger.

Why would a spell checker correct a proper name.
Will we ever see a new issue of The Vendetta Chronicle?
Try it now, 8 hours free playtime before you gotta pay. Now that is gonna build a following.
I think the try before you buy idea is great.
I played the beta on and off for awhile and in my opinion the game just keeps getting better.
Plus these guys really try and help you out with your problems in the forum.
Just an FYI that Canada is not some draconian place. We have a pretty effective democracy up here.
I am sorry if that was inferred by my post. It was not my intention nor my belief.

Why shouldn't he report blatant piracy to the copyright owner.
I believe it's called "civic duty", something that has been long forgotten.
Thanks for ruining my day :)
Well New York is close to Canada, I guess I can schedule a road trip if we haven't completely sealed the border by then.
Oh wait how far north do I have to drive?

A little research and I see you are right. I guess 12 years out of the Navy gives me dated information. At least we still have the Carriers.
I guess windsurfers are more progressive when it comes to their browsers.
