When you want to move lumber right now do you take it on the subway? No you drive down to the local lumber yard and pick it up. This is not a replacement for all the uses of a car, it's a replacement for inefficient mass-transit systems. Honestly did you even think before you posted?
No I don't, first I don't work in a 200 floor building, 2nd I am extrememly claustrophobic, 3rd I take stairs.
I have had really bad luck with elevators and after being stuck in one for several hours and having another drop a group of us 2 stories I have decided that if I can't climb to the floor on the stairs then I don't really need to go to that floor.
I worked for Pixar a few years ago and I can say that the pay was nothing to laugh at. Infact they pay quite well and provide a very comfotable place to work. Hell the place breeds creativity.
I have no idea how lethal a 3.9 is but it must be a hell of a lot better for places like LA then a 8.
Hmm lets just say after an earthquake that hits 8 on the richter scale most of LA would not be standing.
If you remember the 1989 earthquake in Loma Prieta, the one that dropped the tiers on the Bay Bridge and collapsed part of the Nimitz Freeway, well that one was a 6.9.
Actually prior to the launch of the original Athlon was the time to get in and just befor the split was the time to get out.
As for me I bought in at 13 and when I sold 2 days before the split it had pretty much maxed out at 93.
Good times, good times.
CHRIST, I have never seen such dense people.

Waaaahhhh it has a pop up asking me to purchase it. it's evil....
Your definitions of shareware are soo out of whack it is not funny.
Shareware is software you are authorized by the author to distribute but you are not allowed to charge for and either the software has a time out function or some other way the author (ie a pop up or something in the readme file) reminds you he expects to be paid.
The idea behind shareware is that the users are able to "SHARE" the software with their friends/associates/random strangers. It is way of advertising by word of mouth, and no, Shareware can and usually does require registration. What your are mistaking for shareware is freeware or donation-ware (ie. bittorrent client).
Umm I don't think replay was much more innovative. Replay had better quality recordings, but Tivo had the interface that could not be beat. In the end ease of use won in the ends.
It works the same way here, other mp3 players have more features better quality sound and what ever, but Apple has the interface.
Excessive fines are unconstitutional, while long jail sentences are not. Though how you would come up with what could be considered excessive I am not sure.
These 2 articles of the constitution would seem to say that the removal of voting rights from felons is unconstitutional.
Article XIII. Section 1. Neither slavery nor involuntary servitude, except as a punishment for crime whereof the party shall have been duly convicted, shall exist within the United States, or any place subject to their jurisdiction.
Article XV. Section 1. The right of citizens of the United States to vote shall not be denied or abridged by the United States or by any State on account of race, color, or previous condition of servitude.
Very hard to do when they offer multiple rebates on products. If I remember correctly BB gives you multiple receipts for the various rebates they offer.

OT I know but your post for some reason got Interplanet Janet stuck in my head.

For Exchange I use GFI for filtering. It works pretty well and gets installed on the same box. I just wish it were more configurable.
Is the state called Washington or is it called Washington State.
IIRC it is Washington and the other one is Washington DC.
So my cable connection is a low bandwidth connection. because I suffer from the firefox/slashdot rendering problem.
Actually I cheated and used Google to do my math.
Not even close.
Hubbles orbital speed is approximately 16,900 miles per hour.
You heard very wrong.

Exactly thats why I said an 8 would most likely destroy LA.

Here's some more info.
I still have money in AMD, I too think it's a decent long term investment. I just got lucky during the heyday at the end of the 90's
You were happy with the results of the split??? The price has not gone anywhere near it's pre-split high.
Actually prior to the launch of the original Athlon was the time to get in and just befor the split was the time to get out.

If it follows along the lines of their News page then it will be in beta for a long time.
At least with lashes, you have to be one of a few perverts to enjoy the punishment.
Ummm no one enjoys having the flesh torn from their body.
Damn right, but americans are too squeamish to
deliver 50 lashes.
Maybe but it's more likely that it would be considered cruel and unusual punishment.
That goes for your last comment as well.

regarding your side note.

None, copyright violation is a civil matter, not a criminal one.
They argued file-sharing programs pose risks to consumers, such as identity theft and being unwittingly exposed to spyware and child pornography
Ahh yes when you can't copme up with a convicing argument you can always pull out the "child pornography" card.
Very hard to do when they offer multiple rebates on products. If I remember correctly BB gives you multiple receipts for the various rebates they offer.
do you like your studio.
Good point, I hadn't thought of that.
