  1. Or maybe it helped. I mean Uber seems to be rushing headlong into self driving cars, and when they do mess up and cause injury Uber will be slammed in court. That may push back self driving cars decades.

And exactly where do you see this oh so unlikely scenario playing out. What IT support staff are running Linux while everyone else is running Windows, because that would just be dumb and I would expect the manager of that IT department to be canned post haste. In my 20 years in IT I have never seen nor heard of this situation.

  4. You think because they are only asking for donations that Nintendo could not come in and sue them for any proceeds. If they are profiting off the game they are open game for Nintendo. Since it is such a clear cut case of trademark infringement I doubt the case would last very long.

  5. But opening yourself up to a very expensive trademark suit is a good idea?

  6. If they make money off of it, it will give Nintendo a nice opening to sue for pretty much all the proceeds they get and probably more.

But it's not like the US Navy wasn't also working on that issue, her major accomplishment was being the fastest for her time. The only reason she holds the westbound speed record today is because we have commercial flight, no takes a ship as transportation anymore.

Please show me how I am wrong, how Olympic athletes aren't held up as examples for people to strive for. Yes some fall flat, and that in itself proves the point. The media circus when an Olympic athlete makes an error in judgement. Look at Michael Phelps or Ross Rebagliati.

Still, we need to retire the Olympics for awhile. The IOC and the various national OC's have permanently damaged the Olympics reputation, making it more about the spectacle (and money, of course) then about the athletes. When they took it from the amateurs, they took away what made it special.

  25. No, it's all for the sociopaths at the IOC who want to make their several million. Why not place the blame firmly at the feet of those who are responsible for all the bad decisions.
