When we refer to Creationism, we're not talking about the "idea", we're talking about the political movement. The idea is useless on its own, and harmless because of its unscientific nature. When politicized, it's an attempt to shoehorn pseudoscience into the mainstream, regardless of how far it may be divorced from anything scientific.
Anyone referring to scientists as "evolutionists" isn't quite right in the head to begin with, but you're confusing evolution with abiogenesis. And no, it doesn't require any "faith", faith is based on a lack of evidence. We have a wealth of evidence for how we have came to be. Sure, God could be behind it, what's why the majority of Christians believe evolution is how God brought us to where we are.
"I don't understand it personally. Windows might grind the gears of plenty of people but these days its quite a sleek, easy to us OS - why must they insist on bundling all this crap on the machine which must surely confuse users, and give them so much more overhead in places that they don't even need it! Not to mention the quite obvious performance impact on the machine."
'Our target market states in their focus groups that they want bells & whistles. Did we ask them if they wanted them at the expense of stability? No, of course not, our cheapass bundled applications couldn't possibly have technical issues.'
"3. Don't give me the hard sell. No, I don't want the fucking strategy guide. And don't argue with me when I say I want a new copy instead of a used one. If I come up to the counter and ask for something, just sell it to me without the extra push."
I don't want your goddamned frequent buyer card that I have to pay for, either.
"so you're seriously telling us that the existence of fly-by-night bait-and-switch scams (which are clearly marked as such in very public seller watch sites) in a region makes you not willing do business with 2/3 of the nation's most affordable and reliable photography suppliers?"
Online? Pretty much. With a lot of the top online prices coming from retailers that sell Grey market cameras and many of them requiring pricey accessories to be purchased before the order's even allowed to be *invoiced*, it'll turn a lot of people off from the general NY/NJ area.
Of course, froogle and similar listings may have removed the problem stores by now, but I remember this being a major issue for me the last time I was interested in purchasing a camera (it sent me down the Brick & Mortar route.)
The idea that reality will ever improve to the point where escapist entertainment will disappear sounds disturbingly close to their propaganda. Free nations will always be imperfect, and fantasy will remain popular as long as we're limited in economics, worldview, and general physicalities.
"Boy was I shocked!! The "couple" had never met before yet each of them spent the whole time bitching about the other!! They were under the impression that they were at a marrage guidance councilor, with their "relationship" in trouble. The bloke was bitching about how their last vacation was to location X while he wanted to go to Y."
While I *do* see some tangible benefits that can be gained from hypnosis, anecdotal evidence for such stories leaves a bad taste in my mouth.
"The subscription rate per xbox hovers at around 10%. Same wiht Pc online play, most people just aren't that interested."
You're honestly claiming that online gaming is not a significant factor considered by gamers in this day and age? Thankfully, you do not speak for "most" people. On the PC, the top hits nearly always include a multiplayer feature.
An agnostic theist or agnostic atheist?

They're violating your "right" to pirate for commercial gain!
"I don't think 95 degrees is cool enough for any kind of clothing."
Well, people here in Miami are *nearly* naked, but we keep that mostly to our beaches and clubs.

"As a Dell onsite tech, I can tell you the very reason that they stopped sending out the Windows and Drivers Cd's. MOST OF THE IDIOTS LOST THEM."
Oh yeah, great fucking rationalization for a shitty move.
So what places *do* have good dead pixel policies, for reference?
Uh, coming from a native Miamian the "dirty south" reference is for the music and dancing, not grime :)
"They won't create .xxx domains, tansfer porn sites away from .com domains, and regulate porn on non-.xxx domains all overnight."
And they never will.

" The webpage is a mess, if any indication you should learn it should be to avoid Glide."
:(
I miss Glide. 3dfx RIP
When you mentioned "PriceRitePhoto building" I was actually surprised that it wasn't a PO Box operation... until I clicked the link of course :)
"We are just not as vocal as the Ralph Reed variety."
The squeaky jerks get the grease (political power), sadly.
Oh, terribly.
"I can now see why the PS3 stuff we are seeing is so amazing..."
;)
Because it's prerendered on Cell processors, naturally

"The side-effects of messing with your mind in these ways are completely unpredicatable"
Why?
"if any were to occur, unproveable."
Why again? I don't think that those statements exist on their own merits.
Take macroeconomics 101, pay attention when they discuss economy of scale.
LOL

Not that I disagree with you here.

From what I remember, it was to be more akin to a futuristic battle sim like Tribes or Planetside (not the MMORPG elements, obviously.)
"People in their 20's are generally starting a family. People in their 30's are mostly firmly entrenched in doing the 'family' thing."
;)
Perhaps that was an unintentional slight on *gamers*
