    Yes, and the "problems with the term" are not relevant to this discussion. The Judeo-Christian/Abrahamic link is that Creationism (and therefore ID) refers to the Abrahamic God as creator.

    Perhaps I'm confused, but I don't see how one object that's been around for centuries would be any different than the other object that's been around for centuries.

    Completely agreed. I know most of slashdot sympathized with him due to their hatred of Microsoft, but soundalike websites don't deserve any respect from me, regardless of who they target.

    While branding is certainly important, the Japanese do seem to place a design importance on space and organization of their a/v equipment, convenience is certainly a factor there.

    The court did award a settlement, as policy was to set their coffee far about safe levels, and had ignored previous court rulings that required that McDonalds have a safer product.

    They are not copying 100% of the books.

    Even if separate people worked to piece the book together, it would still be incomplete. Google specifically does not make all pages available online for that purpose.

    Ah, I see that you are correct. Newer memory sticks include magicgate support to better compete with SD memory. I haven't been in the market for those sticks in a while.

    Proprietary != DRM.

    They make very nice cameras, so I don't have any issues in using their media cards. It'd be nice if they were more universal and therefor cheaper, but anyone who believes that they're OMGSOHORRIBLE doesn't have a need for them.

    The main issue here *is* the massive scale, players will appreciate the improved performance (and less outages) more than they will ever possibly concern themselves with this non-issue.

    If you want to ensure the (relative) trustworthiness of others and consistancy of gameplay, you're going to have to start lending control temporarily for your gametime. I wouldn't say that it should be by any means necessary, but this particular implementation doesn't bother me very much.
