Apple has largely abandoned it's computer customers.

You say that in response to a story about an iOS *and* and macOS update.

If that were not silly enough, it's also just a year after Apple released the iMac Pro, and months after they updated the Mac mini. making it a fairly nice desktop unit for those that want to bring their own monitors.

Macs used to be the go-to for any kind of graphical artist. Now they can't even handle most graphics programs well

That is crazy nuts as the Mac is seeing a resurgence of amazing programs dealing with the graphic arts, from photo to video to vector creations... being an artist on the Mac has never been better.

Also if you were any kind of real artist you would at least be nodding with respect for the combination of the iPad Pro and the Pencil. I think you really don't care about art, you just like to bitch about Apple... what a shame that another creative mind has withered from within due to Hate.

In short all of the worst effects of warming that were supposed to cause real issues have not happened, and in fact what is happening is causing weather to become less severe, not more... none of that is addressed by your religious Wiki page.

So the Earth was kept from an ice age for thousands of years longer, and you are COMPLAINING? That would be salvation for humanity to have thousands of years more not to worry about the return of a major ice age, which would truly deviate crops instead of boosting them as warming periods do.

As it turns out, none of the predicted over-warming signs have come to pass (like the hot spot over the tropics), so we may not even be as lucky as that prior period of time.

I would say it's probably more like a very specialized programming knowledge, than a statistician. And that is why supply is short, because the supply of people who know something like R well is smaller than people who have a good understanding of statistics... it also explains why a shortage remains, because as we all know programming is kind of hard and not something you can easily train anyone into to do well at.

That is where, the Democrats, were they reasonable humans, would say something like "How about 3 billion more for border security, only some of which may be used for new fencing, and the Dreamer extension you mentioned".

See how that works? Each side proposes what the other gives up, generally in smaller increments until the two sides meet in the middle. You know, like people have been doing since the dawn of time?

But instead., you have Trump saying, "how about this comp..." and the Democrats screaming "NO NO NON ONON NEVER NO".

A this point airline passengers are savvy enough there's never going to be a 9/11 2.0, even if you simply abolished the TSA...

You could easily replace that whole meaningless machinery with randomly placed undercover armed security on planes (the airlines could handle that, or government security when that was open) along with some light profiling in airport terminals.

With it shut down over a month now it seems we really, really don't.

There are some areas where it is useful but we could pair back a LOT of government and make people's lives better all around.
