Try Oregon. It's where I moved from MN. No sales tax. No state laws against public nudity (but ones against sexual behavior in public). Own a gun? Trying to register it when you move here? Sorry, you can't. We have no governmental agency to register guns *with*. Want to carry your gun openly in most of the state? No permit required. (Only for concealed do you apply for a permit). Weed? Civil offense, a fine. Give a friend some weed, and don't take money? It's not a sale, it's a gift. Same policies apply to amounts as for possession -- a fine, $500 max.
We're not perfect, but we do do things a tad differently here:)
Work for a non-profit, like the American Red Cross. I made minimum wage ($8.50/hr), but I was sys admin, and got to learn a LOT about production environments. They also hadn't had any IT work done in like 7 years, so I was still decommissioning old NT4 servers.
Volunteering is also a good thing to get on your resume. Be a volunteer sys admin for a non-profit you'd enjoy helping.
My friend and I used to commute to work, same distance, same place (about 45 miles away, Salem to SE Portland). He bought his gasoline for his car, and paid (at the time iirc) about $2.15/gal. I had a VW Rabbit with diesel. I had to pay about $2.45/gal. Sure looks expensive, doesn't it?
Did I mention my Rabbit made that 45 mile trip -- on one gallon of fuel, whereas my friend's used slightly less than two gallons?
My cost: $2.15 per one-way trip
His cost: ~$4.15 per one-way trip
I got my minor in philosophy, so I learned to bullshit pretty well.
And you'll always have a place in Sales, Customer Service, or tech Support:) You only get politics as an option if you majored in BS and failed Ethics & Morality.
I'm pondering organizing a protest at the airport, with 40+ people willing to do the same, willing to be arrested, and willing to fight it in court on protected speech grounds. Anyone in?
I haven't interacted with you enough to judge your idiocy, lol so no worries. No negative criticism with that explanation, either. Your post makes sense, and I accept it as such. And most importantly, none of this will matter much in 5 years, will it?
No, he won't. Oregon Law (via the Appeals Court) has repeatedly stood behind nudity as a form of protected speech if done as a protest, which this clearly was as far back as 1985 (City of Portland v. Gatewood, 76 Or. App. 74, 1985). Communication from the PPD's PIO (I live in Beaverton, OR -- this is local, nor is it all that newsworthy here) has been thus:
[Edited out redundant line breaks]
"Brendan,
I have the answer. You are correct, there is a conflict with the laws. Rather, the City Code is more restrictive in that showing genitalia in the City is a violation of the City Code and is a misdemeanor crime. To violate the State Statute, there has to be "intent to arouse" as part of the exposure.
So, technically, being nude on a bike in Portland is ok by State law, not ok under City Code. However, due to the massive numbers of people that participate in the World Naked Bike Ride, PPB chooses to ensure safety by closing streets rather than attempt to enforce the nudity law on hundreds or thousands of people.
So in closing, ride away in the WNBR without fear of arrest, but please wear a helmet.

Clarifying further:
"We look to our City Attorney for protest/1st Amendment related "speech" issues, which can include nudity. If there is specific case law, we get made aware of its impact to how we would police. But, just because someone claims "free speech" doesn't mean they can't be arrested (see airport naked dude). It would be an issue for the court to consider.
Make sense?"
Probably get modded as a troll, but it's not really my intention (trust me, you'll know if I'm trolling, rofl)
As for the "name du jour" part, it's not that as far as I understand (I may be missing something here, and I have no doubt/. will tell me so!) -- notebooks are bigger, have generally equiv. CPUs to a desktop -- and have some form of CD/DVD/BD drive. Netbooks are much smaller, almost always use a special processor, like the Atom and I can't recall seeing a netbook with a built-in drive. In answer to what you said above, the N stands for netbooks, not notebooks.
I only answered this because I honestly believed you may not have been aware of the differences (and chances are, with your comment, you could give a fuck less. Tell l me to fuck off and I won't bother replying, out of courtesy.)
This one is pretty good about the get-up-and-go. I've pondered replacing all the ECUs with A2D converters and an R-Pi -- then I could code different specs for different situations, like freeway, city (and as my fellow geek suggested, name one 'Getting away from The Man') and include a limp home mode, something not done on the earlier Volvos like mine with the B21F K-tronic. While it would be far too much work for this car alone, I get a warm fuzzy feeling knowing geeks everywhere would have open source code and schematics to play with on *their* Volvos:)
My g/f does think it's cool that I 'hack' computers and cars, lol. (I replaced the CIS module with a DPDT switch and some alligator clips, rofl)

Did they teach Ebonics as a separate language as well?
Let's just go on as usual. We're but a bump on the planet, it'll survive without us.

You mean, reminders like the English language?
You're not culturally very smart, are you? ,/. get reversed in some cultures. One million would be written as $1.000.000,00
And if you're so weak that you can't control yourself, you may want to avoid the internet altogether.
We are talking about a religion here. Weakness is presumed.

Diesel's looking pretty cheap from my POV.
Hell pick any *one* of those examples. I think you forgot while in a handicap-plated vehicle.
Here in Portland, OR we get 25Mbps/25Mbps for $35. (35/35 for $45 if I chose). FIOS ftw.
We will now.
Well crap. There's only 9. Anyone have suggestions for the other three spots open?
Aren't there 12 members of the Supreme Court?

Can we turn it to 11?

Obviously a typo , they missed the decimal point. Or maybe they just missed the point.
Blow your own bulbs -- light up your backyard with 1kW home-made bulbs!. Why do it half-assed with off the grid?
