Download a program called TuneBite. Install it. Go to either Napster or Yahoo with unlimited downloads for a small monthly fee. Play all your music through TuneBite (WMA encrypted format supported). Use the high speed recording feature to process thousands of songs. TuneBite automatically recreates each file in MP3 format leaving the DRM behind.
You now have a library of music that can be played on any MP3 player, any operating system, and is all labeled nicely.
Cost for doing this: $20 bucks for tunebite, plus 5 bucks a month on yahoo for all the music you want.
I own an iPod. I've never downloaded music from iTunes store. I bought a subscription to Napster and downloaded about 11,000 songs. I then used a program called TuneBite (www.tunebite.com) that re-records all the Napster songs in mp3 format (or ogg, etc) using a high speed 4x dubbing option. After the new songs are created, I delete the original Napster files and begin to download thousands of more songs from Napster.
I pay 15 bucks a month for unlimited downloads that work on my iPod. TuneBite cost $17 bucks. Napster is 15 bucks a month. By the end of October, I should have close to 17,000 songs which puts the 250g HD to use.
It surprises me that more people arent doing this as its completely legal and allows you to load up your iPod with tons of new songs.
what could live on that planet. i assume if there was life on that planet, it would exist in a much different way and feed of different resources than our way
Yea, train the whole college in non MS software so that when the non-CS kids get out of school they cant get a job using industry standard tools like excell, access, or understand how Windows works....great idea
Does anyone ever think of the children using these computers? Id say about 90 percent of the children at a school will most likely not go into the field of computers. That means that these children will have to know how to use standard business software such as the Microsoft Windows platform, not to mention Microsoft Office, and other Windows based software. How will someone be able to get a job when they lack such basic skills as using a Windows based machine.
Great! No longer do we have to exert any energy at all and walk anywhere. If this thing catches on we could see a dramatic rise in weight of the people using this Segway
Ya know what....that movie was quite funny. Im in college now and i can tell you that a lot of people around here (boston area) found that movie to be really hilarious. So most likely it did not appeal to tons of people, but on the other hand lots of young people liked it alot. A LOT!
Ya know what what; maybe this new language will make a difference. Maybe this new technology will enable many thousands of people the ability to create the types of pages and applications that usually require more knowledge to create. and that would be a good thing as i see it. The more people know, the more we will have, and the more you will know. Its just the plain truth. Also who cares if its a plugin. If this language really stands out then most likely it will be implemented inside the next versions of the browsers getting rid of the plugin. The same thing with Flash...that started as a plugin, and still is, but its also implemented inside many new browsers and how many people use it now?...some couple hundred million or so. I wouldnt be so quick to bash a new technology that may have the potential to change certain things.
How do you know? What if tommorrow someone comes up with some super-powered-plasma-coldfusioned-light-year-jumpi ng engine. then a couple years down the road they start implementing it into some new spacecrafts and whatnot....you know what im getting at....anythings possible....and whos to say that those "other forms of life out there" aren't running their own SETI@Home clientsm looking for us.
Your completely correct. I heard about your brother on this really eleeet irc channel (#hack_the_world). do you think some day i can meet him? huh, can i? can i?

I too have no desire to watch anime. Let us all rejoice in our disliking of this loathed animation.
