    The problem with this is that a gun or guns, or even a million people with guns has absolutely no chance against today's military. Blast your AR-15s at as many predator drones as you like. It will not do you a bit of good. If you do not win the military to your cause, then all the guns in the world will not help you fight physically against any tyranny the government pushes. It just will label you and your ilk as 'terrists'.

    I am wondering if there will be a Steambox announcement. Perhaps, but with the announcement of SteamOS, with the flexibility to be either a gaming device itself, or accept in home streams of games from a more powerful machine, I wonder if it will primarily be a spec that other hardware devs can produce, like LG or Samsung.

    "Introducing the Samsung Galaxy Gamer, with SteamOS and Gesture Sense UI overlay" :P

    Op again. Sure, I have a 'gamepad' for my PC. I use it when emulating my old console games. For PC games its WASD + mouse biotches :P.

    The implication/hint being that this is a console announcement. However it says they will involve us in the design process. I hope that means we can turn off monitoring and always online aspects!

    They may not have a huge library of linux games, but what they do have are some exclusive AAA titles they could trot out. L4D3, HL3, Portal 3, etc....

    If they accessed email accounts without consent, then it is criminal action, and should be treated accordingly. The managers who signed off on such behaviors and any techs who performed them or created tools to, should be charged and tried with whatever hacking statutes apply. Then the company should be made to pay the victims.

    If we are going to be a 'nation of laws' then we need stop being hypocritical in their application. But of course, the law is typically made to bully the small guy to the betterment of the big guy.

    If a lawyer knowingly sends out C&D or settle or we'll sue letters for knowingly invalid or absent patents, it IS fraud and extortion. They willfully misrepresented facts to their clients (and their own) betterment. If the patent is valid, then no they attorneys did not break the law, and it is a symptom af a flawed patent system that needs repair.

    In neither case do we need more laws on the books.

    WE DO NOT NEED MORE LAWS!

    Felony conviction is cause for disbarment in most jurisdictions.

    If an attorney aids and abets fraud, extortion, or is criminally negligent in defending/prosecuting a case, then fucking charge and convict them of -that- crime. They will still be disbarred, and we will actually be prosecuting crimes that matter, instead of letting those with money and power flout the system so egregiously.

    In Q2 2010, (around when the dumping was occurring), Exxon reported its worst quarterly profits in years. Some might say that explains this, while not excusing this. Corporate pressure to cut budgets was driving lower managers, etc. However, in that -low- quarter, guess how much net profit (not gross revenue) they reported?

    Yep. In one fucking poor quarter they earned nearly 7 billion in profit. But could not bother to dump waste properly. And this was in the USA, with relatively strict, if often bought, environmental laws and protections. Can you imagine what companies like this do in places that do not care or cannot afford enforcement? Where the African dictator of the month just wants a few million to arm his army of children that go village raping?

    This is the type of activity we should be pursuing and punishing. Not Syria, let them kill each other off if they want, lets not make enemies of both sides by dropping bombs and killing innocents (which does happen). Not pot smokers and growers. Not lil Suzy mp3 torrenter. Not Aaron Swartz. Not Snowden.
